  1. The sun has sprung! Had a quick afternoon nap and there's some blue skies now.
  2. Looks like the thunderstorm threat will be more towards Dorset. Hope you all have your cameras ready.
  3. Yeah that was crazy. That was like a constant storm for hours due to the convergence line. I hope I do get surprised but I'm not holding out hope.
  4. I believe the convergence line has shifted a bit South (I could be wrong though) as looking at the latest MetOffice models all the thunderstorms seem to be further South than me. I hope you get something though!
  5. Yeah I feel like there's not gonna be any storms here today. Maybe the odd heavy shower but nothing like the MetOffice was predicting. Edit: Not sure what MetOffice forecast you're looking at, but for me it has 3 hours of potential thunder for you.
  6. Oh wow, didn't see that thunderstorm just north of me happening. Sad it didn't form 10 miles further south so I would have been able to hear it haha
  7. Just in the 30% storm risk for today and I believe I am on the convergence line but I could be wrong.
  8. Looking at the rain radars from last night and it seems like most of the heavy rain was to my east and went up towards wales, I only got a dribble of rain. Far from what most models predicted would happen.
  9. I'm sorry you are disappointed. The day is still young though, and there is meant to be more thunderstorms later today (M4 corridor could see a convergence line). I believe these thunderstorms will be more feisty than the current ones. But please don't dampen other peoples moods just because it's not how you expected it to be. Let people be happy, and stop saying it's a bust.
  10. Keep the videos and pictures coming! I can't fall asleep right now it's still so humid here, praying for some thunder later today to clear this air as it's really needed. Hope everyone enjoys the lightning/
  11. Well I'm off to sleep now, hopefully I don't miss any storms. Really don't expect the thunderstorms to travel this far inland so I'm getting ready for tomorrow as it looks like I have a better chance between 1pm and 8pm.
  12. Already some strikes near the UK already. I didn't think it was meant to pop off for another few hours so this could be promising.
  13. Saturday afternoon looks more interesting to me than tonight's threat. Depending on where the convergence line ends up sitting I could be seeing thunderstorms after thunderstorms. Some models have this convergence line further south, and some have it further north. Will be interesting just where the line ends up being.
  14. I've heard that the thunderstorms are going to die out before they get to me tonight, but fingers crossed for tomorrow as it's looking promising.
