    I know I keep banging this drum but with this still on offer from GFS why is there the expectation that the METO will drop something colder from the East.

    We say about the lack of cold but get the HP in the right place and you just never know eh? I appreciate I am running out of straws but I have a few left to pick

    But what I do agree with is, all the background signals were pretty good and the seasonal models were shouting about a back loaded winter and EC46 is still showing something promising around the corner and MET are still promoting cold. Maybe we are impatient and by the weekend we will have a magic moment and the models will show the MET and EC as being correct , I for one won't throw the towel in until the MET change their thoughts.

    I can't see the METO moving away from the signal of cold just yet, some crackers amongst that lot.

    Jason M I'd stick with the MET rather than believe each GFS OP run, until they change their wording, a colder spell is on the way

    Mcconnor8 It might well do but it doesn't have to be -8 uppers for snow in the UK, my main point though was we aren't out of the cold air and it hasn't legged it to lapland where there are -12 uppers.
