  1. Very similar to here on the snow front. Blinking chuffed with what we've had in the last month. Day 8 of full lying snow cover (at least 4cm lying) and been a marvel in the west midlands, we have been spoilt rotten.
  2. I still think theres plenty of twists and turns. SO GOOD to read plenty of us getting a good 6-10cm widely today. Stunning out there. Couple of pics from earlier
  3. whereabouts in stour are you? we've had loads west of town this winter so far?
  4. wouldnt totally write it out off gord, still snowing in bewdley/stour/the surrounding area. Easily had a good 7cms fall here, been an excellent event, really has
  5. Still nothing just yet... very interested to see how this plays out....
  6. pretty buzzing for tomorrow now on what we’ve seen tonight. Fingers and toes crossed Midlands wide! HOWEVER, still prepared for it to fizzle over the marches, nothing’s a cert until it’s accumulated!
  7. Haha we've got a three way of tug of war for that pivot. In one corner, we have south wales, in the other, we have the west midlands (lets be honest, we've had our turn most probably but not going to complain), and in the third ring, the outsider at 15/1, we have the east mids. Let battle commence!
  8. Im not giving up with regards tomorrow, but i do think we won't truly know about later this evening about how its heading. A lucky spot will get a good 10cm or so, at the moment id say herefordshire/gloucestershire look best poised but i think the midlands are still in with a shot.
  9. I fancy a good spell of snowfall for the beacons and south wales tomorrow, but obviously want a northwards shift However, we all know well these things go further south than predicted 9 times out of 10 Gotta be thankful for the covering around here last night
  10. I think there may be a few scattered showers later but nothing on the scale of further north unfortunately. I wouldnt completely give up on tomorrow, it does look further south overall but theres still a bit of discrepancy and i think we'll have a much better idea in around 12 hours from now!
  11. I’m with you on this one, wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest, but time will tell
  12. Hoping for a little northern adjustment as there’s not much margin for error!
  13. A fair bit has melted due to the dampness of the ground but it was pretty spot on at half 7, good inch or so of snow bring on tomorrow and Sunday’s fun and games, and good luck to everyone!
  14. Good couple of cms fell earlier, was amazing around 7.30, looks a bit messy out there so could be a smidge of a thaw tonight? but expect the temps to drop now.
  15. It’s always the same with these southerly tracking lows in winter; the vast majority are too far south to produce for our region and in the end it’s an m4 south jobby
  16. Shame about these filthy daytime highs of 5 celsius or above, though of course should any snow fall it should suppress those daytime highs.
  17. Stokes getting it again! just wet snow here, a little settled on the cars but nothing too exciting
  18. Hasnt been a total washout here, but i get that further north and west things have been treacherous and theres a danger to properties and communities in rural parts of north wales/nw england. Stay safe everyone!
  19. Yep, thats why i rarely read into it unless it looks like a widespread cold spell which has been entrenched across the country. These marginal events often dont work out in our favour, especially as precipitation has to travel far inland often moderates before it reaches us. Unless you're over 200/250m, the bottom line is if it can go wrong, it will wrong. Pessimistic i know, but thats just the way it goes.
  20. Doesn't like its been much to write home about across the warning area of east anglia really. Been looking at that thread intently and anything that has fallen/settled has been so marginal it's not really accumulated a lot this morning. Think west yorkshire up towards the dales has been the sweet spot this week! Back in the mids and its a really nice pleasant day out there, least i dont need too many layers on to go out i guess
  21. I'm not feeling optimistic for saturday really, think we may as well wait to see if the models upgrade for later this month. Didnt oldbury get a fair covering couple of weeks back? Got a good 5cm on the monday morning.
  22. Yeah we did, very lucky to get what we did during that time, feel for some areas though, east midlands southwards hasnt seen a great deal really. Yorkshire and areas east of the pennines are always going to be more in favour though.
