    I’m a sucker for pain. On what has been just a dismal Monday with no settling snow and the odd graupel shower; I know what’ll make me feel better. Come on here and see who got loads of settling snow! To be fair, I’ve always liked Leicester me, good football team, good location, but I think I’d miss the proximity to the hills west of me! That’s all I’ve got Ps: not at all jealous, not one bit

    Wouldnt get too excited by these showers folks. Not really settling here near birmingham The wind is blowing the snow around but if anything, we had a dusting this morning which has completely melted.

    it almost feels like the strength of the wind is making any falling snow difficult to settle. Almost blowing horizontally and struggling to stick to anything.

    As you said earlier matt, its basically evaporating on the ground more than anything, very meh this, almost feel like writing it off as any snow that is falling is wiping away the dusting we had overnight.

    This definitely feels like us lot near Birmingham will have our fingers in our ears today whilst there’s plenty of excitement further north and east (to be expected I guess, always had a bit of hope but that radar is very underwhelming) so best of luck! Had a very slight dusting here but to be honest, not fancying our chances quite as much as I was last night, I think in a couple of hours well really know how this ones panning out. EDIT: just started very lightly snowing again

    There will be some variation over those days, I think the forecasters have mentioned this, especially as the isobars loosen a bit after tomorrow. However, I do expect Leicester and notts to be very much in the sweet spots for the next few days!

    Its been absolutely miserable this whole season, very much fed up with it all! Bigger fish to fry anyway, at least the prospect of snow gives some cheer

    i see the floodgates have been opened in north london (Again) for the baggie boys Very dark skies around here with the odd flake blowing around the wind, and feeling very raw! excited to see what might happen tomorrow.

    Definitely not given up here in the Black Country; still very much all to play for, latest model output looks very tasty indeed at times next week

    I guess so, but I guess we’ve perhaps had more days of lying snow this winter so far in the West mids , the end of December favoured us here more, but that is the exception rather than the rule really. Overall, an easterly or northeasterly will always shed its load over the places you mentioned before they reach these parts.

    Re the main front not necessarily, what certain models are showing is, potentially, a trend for the band to turn to snow for a time saturday night/sunday morning before the potential fun and games begins with streamers. All to play for!
