  1. I’m hoping the radar is accurate as there seems to be streamer heading for me nr Axminster/Colyton from up country. Anyone further East confirm please??
  2. Had a very light covering of snow this morning from a passing shower overnight. Some threatening clouds passing by currently just offshore at around Seaton but nothing for us today in terms of snow. So far, so disappointing. Great sunshine levels though!
  3. Light snow shower near Colyton. Has been gloriously sunny all say but cloud banking up now ? PS Nissan Skip!!

  5. Sorry to butt in, and not weather related, but mine has been bust for 3 years and sailed through MOT. Test guy says it is irrelevant to MOT. Saves a few quid.
  6. The model forum is bigging up an English Channel streamer modelled midweek next week. East and South Devon plus southern Cornwall in the firing line.
  7. Thanks Ashme. Going to secure the garden furniture as looks potent on radar.
  8. Heard it here and again just now, I am about 15 miles south Ilminster
  9. That was brutal for 20 minutes. Some squall and amazing thunder and lightning. Becalmed now for a bit.
  10. Here in East Devon, Dorset border area the cold snap has been characterised by very strong winds. Yesterday sustained gales from WSW today a biting and gusty NNE wind. Not a flake of snow here, a touch of sleet perhaps... There was a stage where it was snowing to the north of us,the East of us and the West (albeit on the moors). Still early in the season so hopefully our time will come ?
  11. 71 mph gust at Portland Bill. Sustained high winds are battering us on the coast.
  12. Looks like something of nothing - a dusting but not snowman potential ️ http://dartmoorcam.co.uk/CAM/weather/weather.htm
  13. Evening all - can anybody in the Oakhampton/Belstone area say what the showers on the radar are falling as there please?
  14. It's dead calm here with a yellowish green hue to the sky. Also very dark. Eerie. 18c.
  15. Similar here - hot sunshine then heavy showers with downdraft wind and rumbles of thunder. Sunburnt and drenched in the same day if not careful!
  16. Back to back torrentíal downpours here. Will be interesting to see intensity on radar.
  17. 2 very heavy showers in past hour. Got very dark. Looking out over Lyme Bay can see lots of convective showers forming.
  18. Thunder here and suddenly v humid. The sun is warm now we're in May = moreconvective instability aloft downpour now.
  19. Howling NNW wind this evening - had a hail shower mid afternoon too. What has surprised me today is strength of this wind. Normally fairly sheltered here.
