  1. another one from the table, as I promised last night.. between 20-25cm
  2. Im surprised M53 was bad... how far did you get towards Heswall before you had to turn back?
  3. amazing stuff Hywel.. not quite that much over the estuary but not far behind here!
  4. perhaps altitude is the key here, and the snowfall amounts falling are really dependent on altitude tonight.
  5. its been intense here all evening, thats for sure.. about 2cm per hour
  6. haha were screwed here, roads are a failure.. must be approaching 20cm
  7. Well the snow itself will protect the plants against any severe cold (so long as it doesn't thaw), but, its the weight of snow that threatens the larger plants.. they'll just have to deal with it! There's been a few falls in March, relatively recently, but this is unchartered territory for me personally!
  8. Approaching 15cm here, but thats what 20 extra metres does for you. It's definitely snowmageddon!
  9. I think we'll need another few hours for this to settle in the more urban areas.
  10. yeh yeh alright calm it... Enjoy the snow instead of throwing daggers.
  11. Waking up to an inch is something not an ordeal anyone should have to go through
  12. I barely post in here but yep I was humourously exaggerating
  13. here were getting the N wales snow now, almost whiteout proportions.... Pete I'm over 300 feet myself!
  14. awwwrh whiteout conditions, get outta here!
  15. heavy now and settling more, so you guys are going to get plastered too!
  16. The area between Colwyn Bay and Llandudno (including Conwy) is as mild as the SW tip of Cornwall, so it's not surprising at all to me!
  17. Im dumbstruck as i can see the concrete here.. and just over the river, people are cut off..
  18. temperature here 1.5C drip drip drip.. only the lightest of flurries now.
  19. its gone slushy now and is melting rapidly here, snow is more sleety in nature too
