  1. Chris Smith It ain't been too bad here. Definitely seen some sun. Even yesterday was quite bright with sun and clouds here driving back from Durham city to Chester le street. And we've seen a few similar days over the past 7 days. Definitely not been a washout but nothing seriously sunny either. I'd probably just call it average.
  2. We may not have had wall to wall sunshine but at least it's been a bit dryer and milder recently. Looks like some half decent weather this week too
  3. Anyone else sick of rain? Surely there will be no sign of hosepipe bans this summer. Been dry today like but still lack of sun is depressing.
  4. I hope we are going to see some brightness soon. These endless days of dark damp cold dullness is getting rather depressing
  5. Just heavy rain in Durham yesterday. But when I got back to my car at 11.30 last night it was covered in thick ice. Couldn't open doors. Luckily enough I managed to open my boot where the de-icer was.
  6. Id rate it rather poor aswell. Although we did get 4 or 5cm early December which was nice. It's been a rather stormy winter and often mild/very mild. Very little frost although managed 4 days on the bounce last weekend beginning of this week but overall very poor. Probably a 3/10 from me
  7. Felt much cooler today. Was nice to step outside earlier and actually need my thicker coat on. Hopefully some drier weather over next couple of days with some chilly nights
  8. It was a lovely 12c with sunny skies walking round gibside today and nee breeze either. It felt rather pleasant. The rest of this week looking quite unsettled but hopefully won't be constant rain.
  9. Anyone else starting to enjoy the mildness now? It has felt rather spring like in-between any rain and the heating has barely been on.
  10. geordiekev very poor snow effort this winter. Especially up your way. Infact even for frosts it's been very poor. Still though, the good amount we had back in early December means we've still had more snow here than last winter which only produced a few dustings.
  11. NorthEastSnow they've been way off the mark all winter. I think for whatever reason, our climate has took a massive change in direction now and this could be the norm for our winters going forward
  12. Well the front seems to have moved in faster than forecast. Wether that'll mean snow for lower levels remains to be seen
  13. Beginning of winter was pretty good. Had a decent covering early December but since then it's been very poor. Very mild and often windy. Not alot of frost around. Is this what our winters are becoming? All the background signals and drivers have gone AWOL. I'm now after some warmth. Nothing worse than a cold march/april
  14. Had an hour earlier when the roof sounded like it was lifting off. Winds starting to ease off now but looks like rain is coming
  15. @Nick123 Definitely not as bad as Isha. Isha was very noisy here. Sounded like the roof was lifting off and almost a constant roar.
  16. Still fairly blustery here. Worst winds were between 12 and 3 this morning before slowly calming down slightly. Didn't get much sleep with the noise
  17. Very slight dusting here this morning which was a bit of a surprise but that'll be it. Redcar to Whitby in the firing line
