Every year its the same with model watching. Have we not learnt by now that comparing previous years proves ineffective for predicting whats in store for us in the coming season. I would personally prefer to use a model watching forum for looking at the output of models readily available now and make an assumption based on that.

Yes, looking good. Look at these temperature forecasts from Arpege model for your first 3 days. You might be grateful for a cooling sea breeze! By the way, if you do visit some of the Broads, one of my favourites is Horning Staithe which has a pub beer garden overlooking the water and a variety of cafes, restaurants and gift shops. It even has a 'Mississippi style' paddle boat sailing from alongside the Swan Inn, with 1 and 1/2 hour trips for £10 (discount for kids).

Thank you! Looks like its going to be lovely!
Not been to the broads before but like your recommendation and sure the kids would love the paddle boat! Will put it on our lists of things to do

Looking at prospects out to Thurs 15th using the GFS model and it's not looking bad for your week. Plenty of sunshine to enjoy with no recurrence of the daily North Sea clag we've had to endure and no measurable rainfall. The slight fly in the ointment is the winds look to be mainly from an easterly direction, so that will hold temperatures back somewhat if you're on the beach. But go slightly inland - say onto the Broads - and the temps should be very nice indeed. All in all if I was heading off for the Norfolk Coast this weekend I'd be quite pleased. I hope you enjoy your break.
Cloud cover (called nébulosité below as it's a French website) from Sunday morning through to Thursday. Black is clear, Red is thin high level stuff, White is low (base) level cloud. As you can see it's mainly black and red colours for the week.
The rainfall accumulation for the 7 days to Thurs 15th shows negligible rainfall (just a small risk from a possible shower on your first Saturday).
You can find a wide selection of GFS charts including the above at the link below.

Thank you for this run down! Really appreciate it, I guess we didnt pick too badly then with our timing!

How is the latest output translating for Norfolk coast? Particular fro, this Saturday… got a week away planned and hoping for bright weather and NOT the recent cloud fest.

Not sure what you mean… could you say it again?

But does recent output point to an end of the north sea cloud fest at the eastern coasts?

On this mornings output are eastern coastal areas still going to be at the mercy of north sea winds and cloud?
-
How models looking for 10th June onwards for our week in great yarmouth!
Lots of positivity but I fear this awful north sea cloud will aput a dampner on things.

For the Norfolk coast then are they going to feel the benefit of current model output as recent north sea has put stay along the east coasts to early summer weather?
we are going 10th June for a week and hoping the positivity around model output reflects the eastern coastal areas too.

Hiw we looking at the timeframe 10th-18th June based on current output?
lots of mentioning of heat building but off to the norfolk coast and hoping those pesky north sea winds bugger off.

Yesterday and today dross weather here in the staffs moorlands. Constant unbroken cloud and man its cold in the breeze!

Any model readers amongst us able to tell what the models are forecasting beyond day 10 for norfolk coast. Spoilt last year and fearing a wash out this year
-
Struggling to make heads or tails for the first time on the forum
Retrogression being thrown around alot.
seems very technical at the moment whereas usually posts are well explained for all to understand.
What is currently being signalled beyond day 10 and does it really matter at this stage.

Just back from a weekend there. If you can think of an incantation that stops the nor'easter barrelling down the North Sea you'll be fine!
Haha can be quite a breeze at times! We were blessed last year with heatwave conditions! So can we be lucky two years in a row.

Seems to be moving on a more north easterly track. Im in the staffs moorlands and dont see it hitting us until later this evening. Despite the precipitation being close by.
