On the mobile version it no longer shows a datestamp against each thread - this is a fairly large omission as it's the only way to see if new posts are available 'before' opening a thread and scrolling down.
Other than that thread page views now in my opinion show too much information on mobile. For example no need to show Member Post Count, Gender or MultiQuote button.
Previous mobile version was very concise, new version is now anything but concise.
Finally revert back to one button top left at top of page. No need for breadcrumb. Users do use back buttons on phones!

snow is coming! officially! my local tescos has taken delivery of six shiny new quad bikes with snow ploughs on the front for clearing the car park!
ok, it doesn't guarantee snowmageddon but...... "every little helps".......
How very drool... very...!

To be fair BBC breakfast news and weather did happen to mention the possibility of severe gales and very heavy rain on Sunday, but confidence in it was low - it could go south into France instead the presenter stated.

I recall travelling home last October at around 1am in an intense hail storm that suddenly turned into heavy snow a minute late back to hail again. Very early in the season especially here less than 3 miles from the coast.I also seem to remember that a few isolated places snow last October? Although i'm not 100% sure about that. I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong

Must just say that any worries I may have had about this weekend's weather have suddenly disappeared. It looks like Cleethorpes' final outdoor event of the season is going to be basked in glorious sunshine.

Hi William of Walworth I am very pleased about this weekend's upcoming calm, dry and warm period - I along with my business partner are running our first big outdoor festival ( http://www.lincsfoodfest.co.uk ) in Cleethorpes and of course we have been wondering what the weather will be doing this weekend for sometime even if there is nothing we can physically do about it! (Aside from hire more marquees that is o/ )

Hello, long-term Netweather Forum member here, I hope this is okay to be posted in here it seemed to be the 'best fit'.
I'd like just to share a event I am organising in the UK, its the Lincolnshire Food Festival, if you live in Lincolnshire, Notts, Yorkshire, Leicestershire or even just fancy coming along for the weekend or just a day and have a fantastic day out.
21st/22nd September, Meridian Park, Cleethorpes
Levi Roots, Franck Pontais and a selection of local chefs will be putting on cookery demonstrations throughout the weekend.
If you love food, please consider Liking or Sharing my Page and tell everyone you know about the festival - see you there!
https://www.facebook.com/lincsfoodfestListen out on Lincs FM from Wedneday this week for a chance to win tickets.
Kind regards
Richard

Personally am not wishing for cold or rainy weather as I have a festival planned, anyone know what the rest of September may bring?
-
Oh great you already have an Autumn thread already open... just updated my avatar and signature and now I don't feel guilty at all in asking what do you guys think the second half of September will be doing this year?

I know they aren't exactly that accurate, but when I got my car it was still registering 24c here on the coast about 20 minutes ago. Must be some local records being broken here, never known it so hot so late in the day.

Very cold here for March, however nothing incredible happened, a few days of lying 2-5cms, melted quickly when the sun came out - more so during the final week of the month. Not comparable to December 2010 in the slightest.
Although the snow was often, it was very spoardic and never really lasted long enough to amount to much this side of the country.
If this cold spell arrived during January the story would have been much different.
Still to end on a plus, nice to see the Winter period (Dec 21st-Mar 20th) returning a below average temperature compared to recent years.

Well the models seem to be slowly coming round to this current spell of cold weather continuing upto this weekend.Whatever happens after next Saturday is up for debate, but remember, this time last week certain models were suggesting that by now, espicially in the South would be 10 degrees by now. That hasn't happened(the high today here was 0.6degrees!!).Just my gut feel, but i think the block in place is so strong it will need something pretty special to displace it and i think this time next week we will still be in the midst of the cold spell. This will be a March to remember like Dec2010 was
Until I see a foot of snow again, highs of -5 and lows of -18 in my neck of the woods this will never rival Dec 2010.

Blizzard conditions here, gale force and maybe 1 or 2 cms on the ground. Flakes on the smallish side though would love it to thicken up somewhat!

Its been a mixed bag here too, sunshine and snow showers, no hint of hail or sleet. Very blustery in the showers, on the way to work this morning it was blizzard-like, visibility was dramatically reduced and the wind was so strong - however as many have already mentioned they never lasted more than 5 minutes which is a big shame as everything was settling quickly.
-
Temperature didn't rise above 2c today (Tuesday), thick fog all day long.
-
I take it Mr-Data is now Weather-history? Why the name change... I probably wasn't the only one who got used to it.
-
A few flakes falling here, time to head over to raintoday.
According to the radar, most of the shower activity is in Kent and the SE.
Essentially its going to be a quiet night.
-
Barely started here, fine snow flakes at present, settling readily on roofs etc..., not getting excited though, expecting it to turn to rain overnight unless something miraculous occurs.
Again, geeks will find more excitement in my footer links

Gone from heavy rain into heavy snow again in the last 5 minutes, starting up again here snow this time - almost blizzard like in the strong wind, unbelievably its sticking fast on the very wet ground.
I just wished it didn't stop, every time it restarts its proceeded by heavy rain lol ho hum
-
Lol its turning back to heavy rain again lol keeps flipping
Plug: If your getting bored of the rain, check out my links
-
Really strange mix here heavy snow and rain at the same time The heavy rain on the roof is slowing disappearing as the rain is being mixed.
-
Fingers crossed for some bigger flakes GSL.
-
Not much snow here, perhaps a 1-2cm top up. Even though its been snowing constantly for 2 hours now its only light snowfall. Hope there is some heavier stuff expected, although the radar doesn't look very exciting at this moment in time, everything is dissipating as its crossing the country. Although to be fair, didn't expect much anyhow. Wonder if we will see much from the east.
