    What a gorgeous end to the day - calm before the storm! Glass dropped last night to 980mb but although it keeps good pressure it hasn't been reset for a bit. Rose to over 990mb this morning. On a lighter note, the roofers came, saw the extent of the leakage, uummed and ahhed and went away again. They decided they will test the wall for water ingress, (no idea why they haven't so far), but they need 2 full dry days before they hose the side of the house down then they will rip the roof off and start again. Doubt they will be back any time soon then!

    Afternoon all. Firstly love and best wishes to BJaykent and family. Very trying and upsetting times. Love and peace to you all. I was so shocked at the strange yellow disk in the blue sky, I had to Wiki it to find out what it was! Roofers just arrived again. Just as it's clouding over! Shopping this evening. Bet it'll be raining :-(

    I will be driving towards that soon. Currently in Banstead and it's getting dark.

    With mum now. Drive here challenging due to the challenging drivers slashing through all the puddles at full pelt. Rain stopped for now. Wish me luck for the drive home.

    Just ventured out with doggy as I forgot I had a docs appt this morning. Rain has also eased off a little so better for walking in. Mole was fast moving and a good swell going at Longbridge, (Horley/Gatwick), but still within bank about an hour ago. Off to visit mum in the nursing home today so need to cross The Mole again later. Roof was pouring water in yesterday but isn't today. Stay safe.

    Don't don't get involved in things that get personal. Weather is only personal in that some people like rain or snow or sun and some people love all weather no matter how extreme or benign. Get so fed up of blame culture. Dry here, for now. Better walk doggy in the slushy mud. This was part of yesterdays walk:

    Morning from the sleepy haze. We just had the most red sky ever. It's gone now but will attempt to upload the piccy I took which being as it is on a phone, doesn't show the intensity of the red so well. * Sorry for waffle. I am tired*

    Just to add wind picking up and very cold here. Raining but not torrential. Saw a Virgin 747 sway about on take off but Gatwick still flying.

    Yes, I am in agreement. I wouldn't mind but they turned up unannounced yesterday when I wasn't well and because I didn't open the door quick enough they went away. Not at all impressed with this shower of *****. (See how I bought that on topic ) Not looking forward to these next few days. Supposed to be out to visit my mum in the home on Friday. Not a nice journey in bad weather

    Morning all. Feeling a little brighter today. Had a little splash of the wet stuff and now it's a mixed sky - bit of blue, bit of sun, bit of white fluffies and some dark fluffies. I feel a bit behind on the upcoming storms. Can you enlighten me on today's and I now read Saturday's please?

    Got back from the dog walk. Sun is really warm. Still feel bad so a spot of lunch and maybe shut eye for a bit. Not looking good for Tuesday. Enjoy the sun

    Morning all. Sorry no update from me yesterday, but I slept most of yesterday. Still want to sleep today. Anyhow, from what I saw it was breezy and showery yesterday. Quite mild I felt but I might be unwell. Sorry can't be more precise but due to this bad weather we have been unable to fit the weather station to the house. Not looking good about Tuesday/Wednesday. At least today is bright and sunny :-)

    Morning all. Mole under warning and alert today. Sunshine and blue sky then black cloud and heavy rain and back to sunshine and blue sky all in the space of 15 minutes. Sunroom was pouring water through last night in completely new places and is even worse than before they fixed it. Hope everyone ok. So awaiting next batch of Atlantic messiness :-(

    Shopping done! Wind and rain picking up here now. Unfortunately I have to go back out at rush hour to pick the OH up from the tattoo studio and go get Chinese food. Keeping a beady eye on the weather radars, though I suspect I will be going out just as it starts to really kick off!

    Our mist last night turned to quite thick fog. Seems to have cleared now. The Sun is even poking through, goodness =-O Happy Chinese New Year to you all. Let's hope the Horse brings in better weather than that slimey Snake!

    Cold and a little misty here. Thankfully OH is going for a tattoo in the morning so I will get the shopping done and home early. Any idea what sort of mm precip we are expecting in this area? As always thank you to JP for his updates
