  1. Well maybe they have that extra feature for the 30 day trial subscriptions because I can check the models of most stations. That's also a fact
  2. I mean I upgrade/downgrade my subscription to their stations from basic to pro everytime I go to a new station in order to get their model data.
  3. I actively downgrade and upgrade each station (from basic to pro) , literally every 10 seconds searching around for stations.I have a 30 day trial subscription. That's how I do it. No one shares anything with me
  4. It was a random one I saw on the map just to show you the example. I have no idea which one it was. I did it pretty fast!!! But you get the idea!
  5. Here is an example. You hoover around the WS sign on the green line and in most cases you will get the model
  6. Go to the data output of a station you have a pro subscription and in most cases you will get the description of the model at the top green line. Just hoover around that area and model info should pop out
  7. The Weatherlink Davis fan aspirated station in Hampstead, London is already at 33.6C right now WeatherLink Home WWW.WEATHERLINK.COM
  8. You need to visit each and every station unfortunately to get their info. Its a bit tiring but I am already used to it..
  9. A couple of Davis fan aspirated stations from the WeatherLink Network in London are currently registering almost 32C
  10. I know. I only report Davis fan aspirated stations. Its easy to tell them apart if you have a subscription. Just go to data output of a specific station on the WeatherLink Network and most of the times you will get a description of the exact Davis model. I discount all passive stations and report fan aspirated models only.
  11. A growing number of Davis met stations on the WeatherLink Network are now reporting over 29C in various areas in and around London. I remind everyone that Davis Fan Aspirated stations are practically the best of the best if properly maintained. A growing number of Met Offices around the world uses them for reliable urban readings. In Greece, the National Observatory of Athens uses them exclusively on their official met stations network WeatherLink Air Quality & Temperature Map WWW.WEATHERLINK.COM WeatherLink gives you real-time weather & air quality data from the largest network of sensors in the world.
  12. Biggin Hill, Jersey Airport and London Southend Airport all already reporting 28C
  13. 32C in Hawarden according to the Met Office right now UK's highest so far for today.
  14. Various Davis stations from the WeatherLink Network have now breached 31C mostly in and around London WeatherLink Air Quality & Temperature Map WWW.WEATHERLINK.COM WeatherLink gives you real-time weather & air quality data from the largest network of sensors in the world.
  15. I am aware. However, this time my bet is that London will break the record.
  16. Given the huge UHI in London I bet a station somewhere in Metropolitan London will smash the UK highest min record the next few days.
  17. I lived 12 years in London and each and every year I was fighting with my landlord to allow me to install an AC. I grew up in Athens. I know what hot weather feels like. I remember a few days in London that I could barely go to work because of the heat. Anyhow you are right about energy costs but there are some very energy efficient ACs (mostly Inverter technology). Besides you can use an AC for heating in the winter as well.
  18. Let's hope this heatwave will motivate more and more people in the UK to start installing AC's in their homes. Finding an AC in the UK is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
  19. The WMO has no authority over a national record. It is the job of the Met office to recognize national records within the UK. The WMO steps in only if its a continental or world record. The Cambridge record is perfectly recognized by the Met Office as far as I understand.
  20. Given the huge interest on UK temperatures on Monday and Tuesday anyone who wants to monitor temperatures at reliable met stations around the UK -which do not belong to the met office- can also check out the huge Davis WeatherLink network. All stations are Davis (most fan aspirated) and extremely reliable. In Greece the National Observatory of Athens uses exclusively Davis fan aspirated stations for its official met network. WeatherLink Air Quality & Temperature Map WWW.WEATHERLINK.COM WeatherLink gives you real-time weather & air quality data from the largest network of sensors in the world.
  21. The Italian record is still under investigation by the WMO but I doubt they will validate that record given that the solar radiation shield of the station was found to be compromised. Check this post below for more details. Highest ever recorded temperature in Europe? - Page 11 - European Weather Chat - UK Weatherworld WWW.UKWEATHERWORLD.CO.UK The record of Athens is still the official one World Meteorological Organization's World Weather & Climate Extremes Archive WMO.ASU.EDU Mind you that Greece also registered last year a 48.8C value in South Crete but that was only recently discovered since this was from the private WeatherLink network of stations. Still this value was taken by a very reliable met station.
  22. What happened in Canada was truly very rare. The fact that Canada now beats the all time European record of 48.0C in Athens back in 1977 is crazy. If Canada can do it then the UK and many other countries of Central Europe can also smash their records. It seems a very rare event this time.
