  1. It wont reach 20c or 25c at all this year . Mild, wet winter. Mild, wet spring. Cold, wet summer. It will reach 20c for the first time this year on Christmas Day and that will be nothing but drizzly rain. Why????? Because of sods law Being realistic. Im thinking April 13th for the first 20c, then May 4th for the first 25c, followed by a record early-May Bank Holiday with our first 30c seen on May 6th. We may see something warm-ish at the end of March
  2. Summer8906 Likewise, always trust cloud breaks in an Easterly, the sun will shine for the rest of the day Im finding it quite hard to rate this March so far. I wouldnt rank it below a 3/10 because of a reasonably dry week with some sunshine but anticyclonic gloom (Based in my area), but how dull it was and the wet 2nd week prevent me from ranking it high. It gets a 3.5/10 so far, but a good final third will make this March decent in my books
  3. SunSean I wouldnt go as far as to say this March is as bad as 2023 so far. I would put it with March 2021 (A dry week at the start, but very dull). Maybe a 2021-style warm spell at the end would do???
  4. wtf. They are forecasting 21c on Monday, but its actually going to be 15c St James Park (Greater London) weather WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK St James Park 7 day weather forecast including weather warnings, temperature, rain, wind, visibility, humidity and UV
  5. Summer8906 Yeah, it was the 18Z. If we have a decent last third, March will still end up decent in my books Sun Chaser Awww its okay, its not your fault the weather here behaves like a lunatic
  6. The GFS for the next two weeks looks worse than March 2023. Hoping its wrong
  7. Sun Chaser Maybe a 2021, due to an SSW upon us. A warm and sunny spell on the 22nd-26th March then a cold and snowy Easter, followed by a cold, dry and sunny April???
  8. Summer8906 More sunshine will do for me. Only 20 hours in the first 10 days and unlikely to change by that much by the 15th. March 2021 was actually as dull as March 2023 until the equinox, before the warm and sunny-ish last third brought totals up (Though still slightly duller than average anyways)
  9. Summer8906 Yesterdays were showing 20c on the 24th. If only it actually could happen, but I would take dry
  10. Daniel* DIdnt all of it come on the 1st and 2nd, and a little bit on the 10th
  11. Sun Chaser I can imagine this March will be like March 2021. A dry-ish but dull start, then an improvement towards the end. Perhaps the warmth pushed to around 23rd-24th March instead
  12. I think Met Offices 5-14 day forecast should be scaled down to just 5-10 days. They never talk about "the end of the period" and its not like they get it right anyway. Praying for decent weather around my birthday, which is March 25th
  13. I remember Atlantic 252 Last one was 2011 (Late-April 2015 was sunny, but often cold and breezy)
  14. stainesbloke Thats the dry week we had undone and its back to flooding
  15. SunSean Im noticing May is improving a lot. Before 2016 we had so many rubbish or mediocre Mays and since then 2018, 2020 and 2023 (Not in the East) were classics, with 2021 probably being a thing ceasing to happen. Hoping August does the same too
  16. reef Your best bet for good weather is always the middle two weeks of April. I would say the start is often a redux of winter, but anything wet often comes in the last week. Not saying April is ever wet
  17. Metwatch April only seems to be good in the middle. The end is almost always wet, dull and/or cold too, and the first 10 days are usually "meh" (Last April had a decent start, and 2020 was good from the 4th)
  18. raz.org.rain It would be a P**stake if it didnt come to fruition
  19. In Absence of True Seasons I would give March a 5/10 so far. It has dry (except today and the 1st/2nd), though anticyclonic gloom was sadly the issue Hoping we see an April 2018-style flip in the second half. That month only seen 22 hours in its first half followed by a very sunny week. GFS 00z is proving this with 20c forecasted for March 23rd
  20. Warm and Sunny weather around my birthday (March 25th)??? Yes, please
  21. B87 Foggy mornings and sunny afternoons are perfect for March and October
  22. Summer 2019 was an underrated one. I know much of June was dire, but the summer was good from the solistice onwards. Much of July was very good and was only dire on the 19th and after that insane heat spike on the 25th. August was a nice one too despite the middle of it being unsettled, and the Bank Holiday was a record breaker. September was nice until the equinox, but we all know what happened after Almost the entire Astronomical Summer was very good, though I never seen a good reputation that summer overall
  23. rain_shadow I quite like fog as long as it isnt like that for weeks Fun fact, March so far has been foggier than any of the autumn and winter months already
  24. SW'lies looks to be returning on Wednesday according to Met Office, but at least it bring in dry stuff. Hopefully it stays like it until at least early-April
