Midlands Ice Age Nice. I was just thinking of taking a stroll there now, while the sun is still out!

Midlands Ice Age that is nippy! Like April's of old... These sunny, cool mornings are really lovely, lifts the spirits.

Another really stunning start to the day locally, bright and sunny. At least we're seeing some more sunshine these last few days, albeit with April showers thrown in.

Weather Enthusiast91 Yep, definitely with you on that. I don't really mind it cool (it's all relative!), but the sunshine makes a big difference. It feels as though the weather is slowly, very slowly, improving...

Bright, breezy, changeable...classic mid-April day. This is OK, better than what felt like relentless rain and grey.

Dancerwithwings Yeah, it's stunning atm, isn't it! With all of the rain giving us rich, verdant greens, having bright sunshine on it all is nigh on perfect! My lawn is looking very good...

Chilly last night! I don't know what the temperature fell too, but it felt nippy, to say the least. But we're rewarded with a glorious start to the day this morning, sunny, clear etc. Couldn't ask for more. Yesterday was reasonable for sun too, but I did get caught in some of those evening downpours, rather sharp showers! Off to Brussels for work next week and then on to Den Haag, always interesting to have a change of scene but I don't think that the weather is going to be significantly different to here.

MP-R Yep, wouldn't it be lovely to have seasons again, and the appropriate weather in them!

Beautiful late afternoon/ evening here, nice sunshine, interesting sky, some good colours emerging. Locally, the weather wasn't too bad today. A 'typical' April day of old...

Jo Farrow Yes, much stormier than I had anticipated. Quite large fluctuations in temperature and almost the classic 'four seasons in one day' locally today. Not sure what to make of it, maybe it's normal for mid-April/ mid-Spring...?!

Proper stormy out there right now, this is arguably as bad as some of the 'named storms' that we've had! 'Bin-watch' is on again, driving down the Warwick Road this morning around here is a bit like a slalom rally, avoid the bins in the road...ha ha.

Best weather of the day (sunshine-wise) this evening. Sky has cleared a little now. Quite cool though - and more to come overnight. Looks as though the forecasts now show the rains returning...?
