Still snowing here, temp 0.3oC. Very fine flakes & gale force winds meaning that the snow cover aint that deep, but its plastered on walls of houses etc, making it look realy arctic ;o)

Still going here, been a blizzard all day. Temp 0.1oC. Lower levels, like Oldham town centre are completely snow free

Continuous Blizzards all day, yet just a few mins down the road in Oldham town centre there is no lying snow!! Just taken these pics, its a white-out and many local trans-pennine routes are closed

Got a light covering of snow at present, appears to have got lighter over past 30 mins, but radar still shows some heavier stuff to the South, which should give a decent covering during the night I'd say. Temp now 0.5oC

Blizards here at present, Temp 0.7oC. Looks like heavier precipitation is coming up from South. Snow begining to stick to roads etc

Temp down to 0.7oC really blizzarding now and begining to show signs of sticking on the ground, which is pretty wet at present. Think we should have a nice covering over next few hours ;o)

Sleet here at present, not sticking at all though, Temp is 0.9oC. Maybe turn more wintry overnight, but I know how marginal it is & that areas further South appear to have had rain rather than the 30cm of snow that was being talked about

Bitter easterly wind here & had some snow grains too giving a slight dusting to melted patches of existing snow. Hopefully that band from the South will hit up here this evening and be cold enough for some snow. Temp currently 0.8oC

Yep same here.....turned out to be a white Xmas after all! Was really pleased ;o)

Had 30 mins of pretty heavy snowflakes falling at about 20:00, meaning that it was infact a white Xmas here afterall. Lots of snow still lying, however temps appear to be climbing (1.8oC @ present) Thaw appears to be setting in

Snow started very light approx 45 mins ago, now much heavier & settling... looking good on radar & still -1oC ;o)

Currently snowing, lightly over past 45 mins, but now much bigger flakes & settling readily. Temp -1oC. Hopefully stay cold enough for another few cm. Radar shows some much heavier stuff coming from the South immenently ;o)

Been snowing heavily here this morning, another good few inches ontop of what we already had. Really misty at present so cant get any decent pics

Had a really nasty morning here....snow between 9ish til 14:00 leading to a further 4-5 inches of snow ontop of the pile we already had, traffic has been a nightmare. Shall try get some pics later

Heavy snow showers here pretty much all day, snowing moderately at present

Bleak day here today, heavy snow showers on & off all day. Several inches of lying snow...just gutted its not xmas day ;o(

Snowing on & off here most of the day. Currently light snow falling, but appears main snow belt is yet to arrive on radar ;o)

Got a nice covering of snow here, couple of cm's still blowing around in the wind. Temp is currently -2oC and had a few flurries this morning, but now lovely and sunny. Time to get the wooley hat out and go walking! -
Awoke to a dusting of snow this am, and then has snowed again this evening...about 1-2cm cover. Appears to be stopping now, temp -2oC

Awoke to a dusting of snow this am, and just had further snow this evening, about 1-2cm, nothing to much really. Not expecting any great amounts now, but maybe a bit more sometime over the weekend. If nothing else its making me feel a bit more festive. Current temp -2oC, Brrrrrr -
