    More snow overnight.......couple of cm of lying snow now Temp 0.2oC Beautiful blue skies at present, will be melting away all the snow soon im sure (not best pics in the world, but I cant be boverred going outside...... hehe)

    Heavy blizzards again after a few hours of few/ little showers.......snows sticking better now the nasty sun has gone away! Temp is a rather chilly 0.4oC, and thats not taking into account the wind chill, which is still pretty brisk to say the least!

    Snow falling steadily since about 14:30, with the odd intense burst mixed in, pic taken below was about 5pm, much deeper now, about 2" so far (look at Buxton weather cam for some good views of current snowy weather around the south pennines) The temp is hovering above freezing at 0.2oC......hope this carries on through the night, looks like im on the western edge of this snow band http://www.buxtonweather.fsnet.co.uk

    Been snowing here for about an hour or so, started that fine, I thought it would be impossible to stick, but now going heavier, and MET office radar shows brighter echos on the way!! Its not the best snow we've ever had....but its all "white" for now.......hehe, sorry for the pun. Temp is -1oC ...seriously though, it is all white, but lower down in the town of Oldham, its failing to stick, and my dad says theres none in Rochdale centre either

    Well it all looks promising........I love these battles of cold and mild air! I think the high parts of Northwest/ central England, around the Peak District could get a fair covering of snow ie..... Buxton, Saddleworth, Huddersfield, Glossop etc........if so, you'll be the first to know!

    You're probably not as nocturnal as me, you need to be awake in the early hours of the morning, before it all melts! hehe... We'll its been upto the dizzy heights of 5oC, the remaining snow cover is extremely thin on the ground now.........roll on the next cold snap!!

    Light snow falling at the moment, giving a sprinkling to cars and cold surfaces. Temp is 0.2oC, Don't expect to be snowed in by morning, but its worth a mention in this age of global warming!!

    Crystal blue skies, temp was -2oC when I woke up @ 08:30, now increased to 0.2oC Had some show showers last night, which is melting away in the sun, but fields are all still white from previous snowfall Pressure 1027mb Light winds

    Well just looked outside and rather suprisingly its snowing very heavily, and all is white inbetween the melted areas!! whooooo hooooooI thought they said it was just gonna be cold n clear up ere!!

    Day of snow showers, some quite beefy.......managed to get a picture of one heading off towards Buxton, just before it started to turn dark..... Nice to see the snow we had last night managed to get darn sarth.....ive enjoyed the pictures of your snowmen n the like! lol. Current temp is 0oC

    Well, its been snowing, albeit lightly for about 5 hrs or so now.....appears to be stopping gradually.... I'd say there about an extra 2 cms fallen on top of what was already lying, looks all white again, its filled in the bits that had melted away on roads etc. Temp is reading -0.5 and have got the post-snow mist at present! ((My Peak District Snow pics are in Photography section))

    Yey, snowing again as we speak, adding to existing lying snow, its light stuff, but has given an extra cm or so, whilst ive been on computer unaware over past 30 mins - I only noticed when I looked at met office radar, which prompted me to look out of the window! hehe. The temp is -1oC & been below freezing all day long (see my photo's n stuff in the photography section)

    Freezing cold day, Temp 0oC at present. Light snow flurries overnight adding to lying snow. The pics have just been taken within the last few hrs of the hills around Oldham & Saddleworth.. hope u enjoy, I bloody froze to death takin em! lol

    Well just home from work and after my earlier rant about it just sleeting, Its been snowing pretty much all afternnon whilst I was at work! Now have a nice covering, a few cms & its very foggy now. temp - 0.5oC. tried to take pics, but hard in the fog! :lol:

    Well ive had a few sleet showers, but nothing worth getting over excited about, can't quite see Holme Moss from my bedroom window, but at nearly 2000ft up I can well believe you that there is some snow up there.....roll on the summer and the heatwave...I'd prefer that than a cold WET winter! hehe

    Had a few beefy sleet/ hail/ snow showers around 2am, which gave a brief covering & temp was around 1.5oC, its now hovering around 2oC and its been having frequent rain showers.......this cold spells naff, how cold does it have to be to snow nowadays?!!! I live at 1000ft, and even on the moors higher up there aint any snow..Im dissapointed, but looking at various webcams, there isnt much anywhere else either!
