  2. It is decaying yes, but giving a tropical look to the sunset a sign of things for tommorow
  3. The hereford cell has grown quite a bit, probably giving some heavy rain underneath it now. Photograph attached in location to radar.

  5. Genuine, have just been to view this from the hills of north herefordshire/mid wales over the last hour. large big spots on my windscreen. Most of it is not hitting the ground though, merely evaporating before it does so. Still some very nice cloud structures.

Met O have never been any good at storm prediction, that's why a lot of other organisations, skywarn, estofex, other sferic radar services, forum/convective discussions seem to spring up and do so well. I do agree though with the millions spent on super computers and the exeter building they are still being beaten by the independant organisations with a fraction of the funding hands down.

  11. Laterns wouldnt jump from bristol to london and to norfolk , not a possibility it was those.

The Government need a kick up the rear I think, local authorities were warned on tuesday, but what did they do with flood barriers, wait until Friday afternoon then get stuck in traffic trying to move them. too late. I understand about boiling the rainwater, but be careful best to get rain water from places it has collected away from contamination

  16. Gordon Brown is due to make a statement on the floods, there has been an emergency meeting this morning by the Government as many services are saying they cannot cope with it.
  17. Update Now 24 hours of rain in Mid Wales , still raining outside. 1000 + cars on M5 motorway all stationary for 6 hours now , some people are stuck with babies without food or water. Very serious situation developing. Also 1 person presumed missing in river , RAF are trying to find them but havent for hours now.
  18. The Crow Inn, in Tenbury is reporting the river reaching up to the sign on the side of the building. 4am peak is due, also the Theme has now broken out Shropshire area
  19. Warnings of bursting Rivers banks in Tenbury Wells / Worcestershire will produce the highest risk of flooding tommorow , greater than ever before. Please avoid this area if you can.
