    An interesting event this. The quietness must be quite weird for those that live very close to normally busy airports. It's a full month 'til I fly from Humberside airport. Hope there aren't re-occurrences, but suspect there will be. BL

    Hiya, This fine fat frog was sunbathing on my rockery this week. I have at least 4 frogs so far in my shallow wildlife pond. No spawn yet. Unfortunately a nuisance pair of Mallards have returned, so I'm having to large-mesh net it over to save the amphibians. They're after next doors fish too ! I usually have a few toads, but not spied one this year so far. BL

    Temp now 1.1 C down a degree from first I looked at 7am. Snowing on and off the last couple of hours. Not settling as yet tho. BL :blush:

    Yes, same here, a 5 minute quite heavy snowshower about half an hour ago. edit : and having another good go now. Very squally with it, I can hear all the recycling bins blowing over ! lol BL.

    Hooray, 2.6C here and thawing. Doesn't look nearly so bad for tomorrow either. A bit of relief for poor man n beast suffering during these long snowy few weeks. BL

    I've popped out for a measuring .. Altogether I now have 13cm flat laying. It's such clingy snow too. Very pretty on all the shrubs and trees. Not so chuffed to lose my satellite picture again tho ! BL

    I thought I'd pop on this thread to report Thunder Snow here in the last half hour. A mix of light snow then heavy graupel with one good rumble. Only the second time I've experienced it. Temp now -0.7 C Less than 3cm laying snow. BL
