  1. Hi again Lewis, I think he just swept his hand across the whole of E. Yorks really as he mentioned the 'mix' The graphics looked solid white on the map tho.and on the boxes for days ahead to Friday the temps in daytime were around 1 degree and showed snowfall. Sorry that's a bit vague ! lol I'll pay very close attention in future, because I know we're all agog. I'm afraid though that I can't 'hope' for freezing rain .. it's just evil, lol BL
  2. Hi Lewis, Just call be BL if you like. As someone else answered, Paul mentioned freezing rain, sleet and snow, but the graphics showed it as snow. And yes, Brian, he does enjoy his job methinks ! BL

  10. Christmas Day snowfall. Of the 9 official white Christmas sites, snow fell on Christmas Day at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Birmingham. Snow did not fall at London, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Manchester, Cardiff and Belfast. Issued at 0011 on Sat 26 Dec 2009. The above is on the MetO site today. (rather lacking English East coast sites eh) BL

  12. Good Morning All, No more snow here overnight, -4°C and a freezing mist tho. I'm hoping it'll be still white for Christmas, but must confess, I'll have had enough of such cold and tricky moving around conditions beyond that ! We're only just into Winter though I know. LoL BL

  16. Morning all, -2C here at the moment. It got down to -8C overnight, brrr. We have 3" of flat laying snow. Been for a hoof round the village with my camera, but haven't succeeded in uploading to this site as yet. I see we may well get more overnight. BL

  18. Hi Brian I've just been round the block to make the most of it .. soooo pretty with the huge flakes. Hadn't realized how many villagers had lovely festive lights either. Quite a treat, if a chilly one ! Measuring a full 3" level depth now and still falling. BL
  19. Very heavy snowfall here, big flakes too. Quite concerned about not getting to the Inlaws for Sunday lunch and presie swapping tomorrow now. BL.
  20. A snow covering here, but no more than an inch. It was -6 degrees C overnight tho. Brrr. The garden birds were waiting at first light for a hand-out of food and fresh water. BL.
