  3. new thread coming up shortly, so please wrap up any posts
  4. light snow here for the past hour.....I would guess looking at the hi-res modelling and radar that it will probably be on and off throughout the day
  5. a friendly reminder folks...This thread is for London & SE weather discussion.....(and booze.....not necessarily in that order....lol) I've had to delete/edit a few posts this evening that referred to other parts of the forum, and as such, have no place in this thread......thanks
  6. your wish is my command...lol 2 hourly ppn grabs...9am & 11am note the SE to NW push of the ppn!
  7. NMM12z output is interesting for some of us, the hi-res output shows light to moderate snow pushing up from the South East to affect Wilts, east Dorset & Hampshire...as has been posted earlier, one to watch!
  8. depends what you're equating....snow = 10 cm?.....Whisky = a pleasant buzz?....lol
  9. ok, couple of posts transferred over from this thread and .......there you have it, thread is closed
  10. and so, please carry on here... just a repost of AWD's excellent 12z output summary from the last thread.... UKMO also similiar to the GFS. At 48 hours you have PPN coming out of France into SE England; Like I said, could affect Hampshire and east Wiltshire. At 60 hours this continues north up the east coast, with a front pushing NE from the SW; The front from the SW then makes inroads into the West Country and falls as snow as it hits the cold air; Again, not expecting anything too significant like today at this stage, but as we've seen this week, upgrades happen, so stay tuned folks. ....and also a top summary from Iceberg.... Quick round up of the 12z from me of the general themes for the next 72 hrs or so. Generally keeping light snow for the sw in various places, well spread though for the next 24 hrs. Saturday night looks a cold one to me, unless some cloud comes over early from french low -5 to -10's maybe under snow fields. Sunday evening sees the french low move hampshire east wilts, east glos, however this is a signficant shift in the models from earlier, with a bigger system etc i wouldnt be surprised to see i dorset and parts of east somerset included in that for sunday night. Monday sees the french low pull away northwards, but at the same time a band of precip come into cornwall and devon (could be a mixture of rain/sleet and snow). Tuesday sees another band possible edge further east across the SW, if it gets to move northwards enough. Beyond that is nomans land. ....old thread here ----------->
  11. good post there AWD.. righty o.....new thread time....link coming shortly, so finish off any posts you might be making, and I'll repost AWD's post in the new thread....

  14. Robin, Today's snow has made me feel like a kid in a sweet store, I'm totally full up, yet I can still find room for more!
  15. waiting for the 12z to come out mate, Ian F's tweeted about possibilities for us on Sunday and into next week, so fingers crossed!
  16. yep, steady snow here again...and eyes are turning to that stuff over north devon & south wales to see if it can hold together until it gets here
