  1. Insane rainfall rates on the Rennes storms - up to 150-200mm/hr according to the NW radar signatures. 6 inches in a hour. Wow.
  2. Looking good on the stream like that as well!
  3. Normally see supercells line out - unusual to see the bow echo convert to a tornado warned supercell.
  4. Amazing bow echo, wind and hail downtown Omaha. Wow.
  5. Really strong couplet to the NW of Ord and north of the team. Are there any tornado reports yet?
  6. My starting point today would be Oakley, KS, where hopefully the DL will bulge. I suspect that the team may not make it there in time and will have to chase a little further south. Neil, it is not just you, the team have been stuck in Dalhart for a week too for me. Perhaps someone can give the GPS locator a kick at changeover?
  7. Good to see that you are chasing today. I reckon if you leave DFW by midday then you can probably make Liberal KS (the southern extent of the 5% tornado zone) by around 5-6pm local time. Good luck.
  8. Shouldn't take long to put 10 white t-shirts in, Ian........
  9. Where did that hit?!! Quick pants change needed!
  10. Is the GPS updating correctly as it seems to be frozen for me. (On chrome on Mac)
  11. You can see the dust being picked up by the inflow winds as they head south.
  12. http://tvnweather.com/live# That southern cell must produce soon. Has to be a tornado in there
  13. Ha Zachary H just had a hail hit them that sounded like a rock was thrown at them. Every time one of these cells has tightened it's then lost its grip. Could see the meso very clearly on the stream form the southern cell - though not very low.
  14. Anyone on the I20 will be in a good position to hover betwen the two. Zachary hargrove just jumped to the 2nd one.
  15. Tornado warned cell north of Midland - Is this the one the team are on?
  16. Looks like you had a great day! And with ball lightning thrown in! Can't wait to see the video.
  17. For me, I would choose the far SE corner of NM - best LI, CAPE, backing winds with fairly good lapse rates going by the latest RAP. Hopefully the increasing LLJ late afternoon can increase the chance of a tornado. Closest place I could find to my target is Kermit TX, so I would start there - from what I gather the team are in Carlsbad, NM, not too far away so perhaps not too early a rise when they awake!
  18. Surely someone from the met office had a little look at the radar before issuing their warning? Then you would at least play safe and extend it to the east of the IOW.
  19. Very strong easterly component to the sfc winds here. Lots of scud. Atmosphere ripe and sudden cloudburst now.
  20. Some cumulonimbus forming to my south right now (in Brighton this morning)
  21. It has potential if it survives the channel to develop into a supercell. Loving the look of it presently.
  22. The cell over Cherbourg really needs watching. Has potential and is heading towards Southampton. I reckon that it could turn severe. New cells building all the time on it's SE corner.
  23. Some good streaming on an amazing looking storm.
  24. The local doppler radar may get knocked out by that!
