    Hi all, not sure that its the right place for this, but I was reading a report recently that says the atlantic conveyor has slowed down by 30% over the last 10 years, and the trend is set to continue. Over the next 10 years our average temperature being reduced by 1 degrees. The suggestion being that as the trend continues our climate will actually get cooler. Just wondered what anyone thinks or knows about that? Cheers, rib.

    Well, looks like we have around 4 inches total now, maybe more (taking into account what was already there), definitely more than I have seen in quite some time. We had quite a dumping overnight it seems.

    Well, looked out the window about half hour ago and it was chucking it down, looks like we have had another 2-3cm, which has layed nicely on what we had and patched up the bare patches!!!! Lovely stuff!!! Funny cos the beeb said we would get nothing tonight, although the met office did have a warning out (mind you when haven't they!)

    Well, been for a walk out and about this evening, it seems we have had around 4cm in places, which is about what was forecast, so fair play to the forecasters. Had a little light snow while we were out, but nothing major and its now stopped, I hope the night brings some more goodies but I have a feeling it won't.

    Just had to open my big mouth didn't I - the suns back out, although there is a mass of dark cloud approaching from the e/ne at the moment, I sense some more snow!!!!

    Heavy snow has been falling here for approx the last hour! Getting some decent accumulation now and its looking very grey and dark. Temperatures also dropping off nicely now.

    I thought z was for zulu time, was when I was in the raf anyway. Used to pass the met forecasters upstairs all sorts of junk that made no sense to me! Cheers, Rib.

    Snow showers on and off all day in Norwich, significant spell around 13:45, started to lay but its all gone now!

    Hi all, it doesn't look like this initial cold snap will last long, maybe into middle of next week. I have been hearing reports of another rather cold snap from around the 10th to mid December. Does anyone have any views or further info on this? Cheers, rib.

    Well snow in Norwich didn't last long Maybe we will get some more later in the night!

    Snowing fairly heavily in Norwich, in fact its practically horizontal in the strong winds, starting to lie too!
