    Completely dry here. Think the precipitation shown on the chart above is so light, it’s probably evaporating before it even gets close to landing on the ground.

    I have no faith in the BBC forecasts - all been completely wrong for my area for the recent snow/wind forecasts. Now that they’ve forecast snow, it’ll either be drizzle or blazing sunshine! Hahahaha!

    Rain here. Not expecting anything from this tonight. Even if it does snow at some point in the night, it’ll turn back to rain and be gone by morning anyway. ?

    I keep seeing mention of more snow tonight, but forecast for my area keeps switching between nothing through sleet and snow - is it expected to be a Yorkshire wide event or just certain areas?

    Just popping in from the Yorkshire thread to have a look-see - you guys look as though you’re going to get a bit of a pasting! I only live a few miles east of the Saddleworth border so I’m hoping that the white stuff actually makes it over Saddleworth Moor and dumps a load over us! Haha!!

    Anyone got any thoughts on our snow chances next week? The cold will be there, but will we get a decent amount of the white stuff actually settling for more than 2hrs...?

    I don’t really understand how everyone is talking about a 24hr snow event on Sunday - when I look at the forecast page for my area, it shows a snow to rain event. I really hope it doesn’t go that way...

    It'd be nice, LeeSnowFan, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Too many times having them dashed over the last few years. Knowing our luck, it'll snow but not settle!

    So, it looks chilly next week to say the least - what does everyone think about the chances of getting a decent layer of the white stuff over Yorkshire, or are we looking at cold and dry for our region?

    Miserable, cold and damp this morning. Got my hopes up for a bit of lying snow when I awoke, but had them dashed once again. Think that sums up this winter, along with the last 3 for me. *sigh*

    We've had a couple of hours of about a cm of lying snow over the last couple of years, but nothing of any note round the Huddersfield area since 2012. A shame as I love nothing more than going for a walk on a crisp, cold snowy morning but just seems to have been a bit of a damp squib for us! I know the Leeds has been a bit luckier than us though - several staff members where I work have struggled to make it to work when we've had absolutely nothing over here in CleckHuddersFax!

    I think it will happen all around us and miss us (close but no cigar, so to speak!). Looks like my MiL in Lancashire is going to get a pasting, East coast might pick something up, and both Scotland and the South-East are looking good for a fair amount. The Yorkshire snowshield does its job once again!

    Rain this morning. Had about 5 seconds of it with wet snow mixed in then back to complete rain. I know the hopes are on tomorrow night but the way our luck is going, it'll be another damp squib...
