  1. Snowing quite heavy in my part of Ashford, cars and road already covered.
  2. Just watched the BBC Weather. Nothing seems to tie in with everything else I've seen/heard. Never heard of the Thames Tickler either but guessing its another name for a Streamer.
  3. Its been on and off like this all morning. Still dark clouds to the north so more incoming I guess. Roll on later :-) I'm glad I put in CCTV in as I don't even need to get off the sofa now to look for that single snowflake....lol Location: Ashford 28293033_161558627831440_333758906390020096_n.mp4
  4. Clouding over again here in Ashford. I was surprised we received the amount we did this morning considering nothing was due to arrive until 4pm onwards Edit: Snowing again
  5. Didn't you get any of that shower that passed through? Its laid on the road and vehicles here in TN23
  6. I just caught the weather on BBC Breakfast. Not sure if Carol's graphics are up the shoot but they had snow in place in the south until Sunday
  7. Clouding over quite rapidly now, got a feeling we'll be in for something more prolonged Location:Ashford
  8. I'm beginning to feel the same. I spent so long in Maidstone I always knew what the weather was going to do by just looking towards the Downs. I haven't got a scooby here.
  9. I went to bed at 10.30 thinking I'll get up about 5ish. That didn't quite go to plan!(the joys of having a puppy). Nothing here in Ashford at the moment.
  10. My bosses will still make me and my colleagues go out in it. After all everyone has to have their junk mail and bills
  11. I noticed that earlier when I was out with the dogs, nothing on the roofs around here either. Off to top up with petrol in a bit as I don't fancy getting stuck on the M20 later in the week with no fuel to keep the engine running. Not due back to work until Thursday so I'll have a few days of not worrying about whats happening on the roads.
  12. My preparations are complete. Friends think I'm a total loon but I'm not taking any chances. I remember before Christmas the wind chill on my hands while delivering the post, I was almost crying in pain and that was nothing compared to whats about to hit us.
  13. I see Wednesday has now been given a Yellow warning for heavy snow. Reading through the outlook it looking like it could stay cold up until at least the 24th!
  14. I've just been watching that on you tube. Made me wonder if the sea will freeze again?
  15. I remember that well. Motorists on the A20 between Lenham and Charing were stranded for days at the Three Musketeers Motel. Villages like Eccles had Chinooks dropping off essential supplies.
  16. Just come back from the shops after stocking up on cold weather supplies and the wind has picked up here now and the sky has turned grey. According to my friends I am now officially mad after buying a snow shovel and salt for the car. For myself I've got thermal base layers, gloves, socks, some spikies for my shoes, bovril, hot chocolate and mini marshmallows. Just ordered some handwarmers so hopefully they will arrive tomorrow. I hate working outdoors when the weather hits extremes. I'm going to look like a right idiot if this event doesn't show......lol
  17. Tried editing my post but it weren't having it. Just thought I'd add that Argos have Travel Snow Shovels in their clearance section reduced to £4.99 and winter salt for £2.99.
  18. I'm not due back to work until next Thursday, got a feeling I'll be attending my local office rather than my own as I won't risk driving on the M20 after last weeks issue when a load of cars crashed due a dusting of snow. I've warned everyone that I'm off to the supermarket to strip the shelves today and they think I'm mad and said the weather won't be a problem. Oh well the next couple of days will tell and hopefully I can say 'Told you so!'.
  19. I saw it aswell, thought I had gone back to the 1970s. Don't forget to put your warm coat on
  20. I expected to wake up and see a covering of snow.......nothing
