    Lightning here, have'nt heard any thunder yet so guessing its too far away at the moment.

    It was definitely thunder and it happened more than once. It sent the seagulls crazy for a minute.

    Its definitely thunder. I did look at the lightning map before I posted and thought it strange.

    Plenty of thunder here but no lightning. Seagulls were going nuts for a couple of minutes but have now calmed down.

    I was woken up at about 3.30am by constant thunder, it sounded amazing. I did'nt get to see any lightning as I was so tired I could'nt be bothered to get out of bed and have a look.

    I know Ruckinge. I've a lot of ancestors in the churchyard there.....lol I'm going to try and get an hours sleep now because when that lot hits later its going to last for hours.

    I've got a feeling that I'm not going to get much sleep tonight as that lot on the otherside of the channel looks like its heading in this direction.

    Overcast and muggy here. I don't know what to expect weather wise as I've now moved 20 miles east. After spending 20 years in Maidstone I knew what to expect as the most exciting weather came up from the Weald or across the Downs and you could see it coming. Here I guess the Romney Marshes play some sort of part but don't know what...lol

    Woke up at 5 to a slight dusting on the grass/cars. Road and paths too wet for it to stick. Starting to come down a bit heavier now. Not sure of the temp at the moment but I know my central heating has decided to pack in.

    Not sure I'd want to out and about in Norwich as it looks like everything is going to converge there very soon.

    I've just walked the dog and can see the tops of that lot thats going through North Essex at the moment. They are massive.

    Just seen the first flash of lightning of the day, the thunder has been on and off since about 1.30.

    Did'nt expect to see a rainbow when I poked my head out of the front door. No rain yet. Sky is beginning to change now.

    Something must be on its way as my TV signal keeps disappearing. Lovely and sunny here at the moment, shame it was'nt when I went to town earlier and got drenched.

    Don't know if you are going down Willington Street but it is blocked at the bottom.

    The lightning has stopped for now but it is still raining hard. One of the local roads has been closed due to flooding and a car is abandoned in the middle of it.

    I think I picked the wrong time to walk the dog. Few spots of rain when I left by the time we got back it was hammering down. Just started to storm here now.
