    Not liking the way they have the cities plastered all over the graphics, you can't really see whats going on in Kent/Essex due to London blocking everything out.

    Have a few flakes here blowing about in the wind. I'm glad I had CCTV put in I don't even have to get up from the sofa to look out of the window anymore Edit lots of snow flakes now

    Well I had my little drive up to Potters Bar to pick up the new puppy. Lovely and sunny with the temp about 6c until I got to Snodland on the way back and the wind picked up and the sky darkened with sleet showers.

    The wind has just picked up here and the sky is completely grey. Just had a heavy sleet shower. I'm just leaving to go to Hertfordshire to pick my new puppy up so hopefully no issues when I get to the tunnel.

    Not pulled the curtains yet but just checked what was triggering the CCTV.....snow. Only a light flurry. I'm off to Potters Bar soon so no doubt I'll see a few more during the day.

    Its been heavy rain here in Ashford for hours and its windy. I'm not expecting to see anything wintery due to being too far south and not much elevation. My brother just phoned from the outskirts of Maidstone and said its snowing there.

    Raining again here. I'm off to buy some house coal, got a feeling it won't be long before the fire is lit!

    The rain woke me up at 3am. It was so heavy I had visions of it leaking into the house, not checked the back bedrooms yet as thats where it came in last time and bought down the ceiling!

    The sky has gone very dark here and I expect it won't be long before the heavens open. Hopefully not too much as the sandbags have disintergrated! Edit: Hammering it down now and the odd rumble of thunder.

    Had a few rumbles of thunder here in Ashford and a couple of light showers. I thought it was quite humid this morning.

    I've literally just walked in the door from work and the heavens have opened and the sky is lighting up nicely

    I got woken up by all the thunder. Thought I would stay in bed and then the hail hit. I'm sure I heard the dog say 'WTF!' and ended up coming down stairs as it sounded like it was coming down the chimney.

    Well thats me wide awake. Loud thunder overhead and then had to get up because the noise of the hail hitting everything was deafening.

    Is Lightning Maps broken? I've been watching it most of the evening now suddenly I'm getting an error coming up. Just as it looks like something may be heading this way....typical!

    I can guarantee it will storm tomorrow as I'm going back to work after week off . I think over the past month I've had to dodge the lightning on at least 3 separate occasions. Don't get me wrong I love a good storm but I don't like having to work outside in them

    I gave away my portable air conditoner in the winter. I thought I would'nt need it as it had only been used a few times in all the years I had it. Regretting it now

    Just hit 30c indoors. Opened all the windows and shut the curtains. Hoping it'll cool down soon!

    Its feeling a lot hotter here today. My face is leaking! I've no idea what the current temp is outside, I've been looking online for a local weather station but unable to find one, not long moved here so still working out whats what locally. Temp indoors according to my Carbon Monoxide alarm is 29c.

    Please tell me this heat is going to disappear soon. Can't cope with it anymore.

    Thankfully I'm not due back to work until Thursday. I hate this time of year as I work outside. The bosses who sit in nice air conned offices have come up with the solution 'deliver to the shady side of the street' Is this heat in for the foreseeable or is it going to cool down a bit?

    absolutely hammering it down now. It took me ages to water the plants this evening if I knew this was going to arrive I would'nt of bothered....lol
