    I'll be following you! I'm doing S-O-A to North Warks tomorrow, then back. Then Monday will be heading to Cov and Nuneaton and then back to S-O-A Knowing how badly the west mids/warks areas cope with snow, I am hoping enough falls on Sunday night to justify not travelling on Monday!

    Light snow shower this morning that left a dusting but nothing much to write home about. Clouding over again so I think we may experence a dusting on top of a dusting - oh yay, what excitement! In fact, as I write, I spy a snowflake lol.

    Nothing much to report overnight - the lightest of dustings if you looked hard enough! This afternoon we had a light flurry folllowed by a 10 minute beefier shower that gave another light dusting on edges of pavements etc.

    We had about 2/3 cm of snow here. Most is melted now, but still sticking on our shed roof and up on the common.

    Just to add - our snow is moving away now and we are already thawing.

    It is stopping here now - we now have about 12cm in the areas where we had existing snow cover prior to this band. There is about 5/6cm on the road.

    Is it likely to turn back to rain? Or if we have snow now, will we more than likely see it stay..... Should add, we have had heavy snow for over an hour now...

    Same here Phil - its settling everywhere now whereas earlier we were beginning to really thaw. Looking great out there!

    It is falling as snow here but very small flakes that are washing away the rest of our snow - we had loads outside til an hour ago. Its disappearing very quickly. Probably ok if you have heavier snow as it would settle, this is too snizzly lol.

    Just a quick warning for those who are waiting for the snow to come - it si snowing here, but the snow is quite sleety and it is actually melting all our existing snow cover so don't expect it to add to the cover!

    It is a good band, but looks like it is fizzling out as it pushes inland? I cannot see much of the Midlands getting anything significant from this.

    Definitely. In fact the roads are covered again now and it filled in lots of the gaps in the garden from when the kids built their snowman! Actually seems to be slowing again now and then that will be out lot I guess. I'm guessing it will freeze and give another fun morning!

    It is funny how much difference there must be a few miles down the road from me. People in Birmingham are talking about heavy snow, south of here people appear to have LOADS, and yet here we got a couple of measly cms.

    Nobody ever answers me on here Can anyone explain how it is that people are saying snow will continue all day in the midlands if the radar shows the showers dying out?

    Can anyone explain please? I keep reading on here people saying thta the snow will keep going through the afternoon but the radar doesn't seem to show that - for most of us it looks over now? Can anyone shed some light on this please?
