    We have some snow but it has been light all along so nothing amazing. Looking at the radar it will stop soon too - can't see anymore heading this way so will that be it for the midlands?

    Indeed! For once our location looks promising Phil! The last couple of small snow events we have had round here have managed to bring chaos to the region and I anticipate this to equal (and better) them

    I'm wondering what is likely to happen re school closures etc. If the snow isn't likely to arrive til dawn, then presumably the roads should be relatively clear for school runs? But if it continues all day and we DO get 10cm or so, then our village generally ends up cut off as we are on a big hill..... Am hoping they are shut from the start, not that they shut part way through the day! I don't fancy trudging to collect my tribe!

    Thunder and lightening followed by heavy rain this morning. Skies now quite grey in the distance again and I think I heard thunder but cannot be sure.

    A few snowflakes falling this morning when I got up. Can I also add that we had 3 hours of snow yesterday that never settled.... forgot to report it!

    Snow here too - we just caught the edge of the band I think and had heavy snow for about an hour whhich has eased off now - we have a covering everywhere though,including the roads whoch weren't gritted Looking at the radar I would guess that might be our lot.

    Well we had drizzle at first, then sleet and now very wet snow falling - ground soaking from all the snizzly stuff so it won't amount to anything but it has brightened up the children's day
