  1. Heavy rain

    Temp: 14°C

    Wind: E (9 mph)

    Relative Humidity (%): 97,

    Pressure (mB): 986, Falling,

    Visibility: 1.5 km

986 and falling? Visibility 1.5km? (it was less than 500 metres a few minutes ago, although thankfully now eased back to merely heavy rain). August?

  2. Sunny with scattered cumulus

    Temp: 18.9 °C

    Wind: WSW 21 mph

    Gust: 31 mph

    Visibility: 35 km

    Pressure: 1002 hPa, Steady

A chilly night (minimum 8.5), with a monsoon at 6am but by 8.30 it was sunny with completely clear skies. A more autumnal crispness in the air today and with the blustery wind blowing dead leaves around one could almost be in mid September......

  3. Cloud clearing 17.5°C

    SW ( mph) 10

    Relative Humidity (%): 93,

    Pressure (mB): 1013, Rising,

    Visibility: Good

Feels as though the temperature is rising rapid now the sun is quickly breaking up the cloud. Breeze has developed since 6am (thankfully) giving a refreshing and welcome break from the awful overnight sleeping conditions. That, plus the thunderstorm.....

  4. Sunny 18°C

    SW (2 mph)

    Relative Humidity (%): 68,

    Pressure (mB): 1017, Rising,

    Visibility: Excellent (50 km)

In the last hour the completely clear sky has been dotted with small fluffy clouds. Increasingly numerous now.

  5. Cloudy 18.2°C

    SW ( mph) 15

    Relative Humidity (%): 62,

    Pressure (mB): 1015, Falling,

    Visibility: Very good

After a clear sunny start the cloud has increased, as has the wind (from 9mph at 0700). As it is now harvest time, the weather watching will now, by necessity, become obsessive.

  6. Clear 14°C

    W (17 mph)

    Relative Humidity (%): 88,

    Pressure (mB): 1013, Rising,

    Visibility: Excellent

The rain from Thursday evening has given way to clear sky and a beautiful dawn. Pity about the wind but the colours in the north east more than make up for that.
