  1. Yes, think you are at the other end of our shower train. Been a decent couple of hours. Wind is starting to turn more NNE now, so we may start to lose the showers. But it could bring others in Kent that have missed out, into play.
  2. Yes I can see the sunset over to the North and West. Still Grizzard conditions here. Very localised indeed. Do you have coverage on the road now Paul?
  3. Not not at all. Just saying so far those regions have faired best (outside of the southern areas with the frontal band of snow) The frontal stuff is trying to move north but struggling. Let's hope someone in France gives it a good kick up the Arsenal.
  4. Yep. Hence the best place to be for the shower train is where those two areas converge. Looking at the radar and reading the reports on here. Sounds like parts of S.Essex into parts of N.W Kent has hit the shower train jackpot. Very localised though. As I have around 2cm now, where as someone north of me just 2 miles, pretty much nothing.
  5. Really? Jeez this is localised. Belting it down here in SS2. Roads and pavements have given up the fight. All covered in a sheet of white now.
  6. Showers seem to be fragmenting and losing intensity in the N.Sea now. Or am I imagining things?
  7. WoW. This is real epic stuff now in Southend. Wish the pics would do it justice. Proper white out and everything finally covered.
  8. The latest Grizzard has finally covered the roads and pavements in Southend. If only this would keep up intensity.
  9. So frustrating. It is trying soooo hard to cover the roads and manages to do so for about 2 mins, before it stops and melts. Snow in March eh! There is a serious Grizzard going on now though. Massive Pellets. Huge in fact. Pea sized and bigger. Strange.
  10. Best shower of the day passing through Southend now. Huge flakes and loads of them blowing horizontally. About as close to a Blizzard as we see in this region. Everything covered in about 2 mins. Problem is I bet it stops any minute now.
  11. If only we had these overhead conditions in January. Can you imagine?...would of been epic.
  12. Well today has been the best day all winter (Spring?) for intensity of snow showers. Some real beefy Blizzard/Grizzard like conditions at times. Just a shame we have very little to show for it in terms of actual accumulations. If this were Jan we would have a lovely covering by now. Such a shame the best snow showers of the season had to come on 11th March!
  13. First time I have had to say it today....But... BLIZZARD!!!.... Well, Graupel Blizzard. Is that a Grizzard?
  14. Heaviest shower of the day passing through now. 20p/50p flakes blowing horizontally!
  15. Dover down to Brighton must have a good covering now surely?! It has been snowing there all morning?
  16. Still light to heavy snow/graupel showers moving through the Southend area. Not really settling at all, except for grassy areas and walls etc. Bit of a shame really, but guess that was to be expected in March! Hoping for some fun and games after dark, when it maybe able to settle better. Nice to watch snow falling though!
  17. Bloody dry slot...typical! As Paul says though, hopefully the low will swing up more NE a bit later, and pep up the activity for those missing out currently. Ideally the low will reach the S N.Sea then decide to take a sharp turn North, sit there for 24 hours then head back SW. If only.
  18. Looks like Sussex is the place to be today. Enjoy all you lucky Sussexonians. The rest of us will have to scrape as much as we can from any shower trains.
  19. Plenty of showers moving through here in Southend so far. Got a light covering on most surfaces. Really impressive when it comes down heavy in that wind. Had a 37mph gust and horizontal snow about 20 mins ago. Temp -1c Dew -3c And here it comes again!...
