  1. It's a fair comment. The Azores HP is going to kill at least another 10-14 days of Feb unless something changes. It looks dry and cloudy for the forseeable. Yes we can get cold/snow into March as we did a couple of years back. But that is super rare. The fat lady is certainly clearing her throat...
  2. Think we have lost the convection unfortunately. Looks a quiet night for all unless a miracle happens off the coast.
  3. Wind swinging round to EENE maybe even direct E'ly from around 9pm tonight right through tomorrow. Last chance saloon for snow showers I think, certainly for the next 10 days or so as HP takes over.
  4. Hmmm, if we could get it EENE then we could be in business...
  5. Well this was unexpected! Heavy Snow shower passing through. No accumulations as its too warm. Has the wind switched more favourably or something?
  6. This wash streamer is so localised. You are looking about about 30-40 miles in width stretching SW from the Wash down to Oxford. Frustrating to watch when you are not under it, great when you are! As for later, I agree with what others have said, the wind will not have enough of an Easterly element to it for a Thames streamer. If any convection is going to spark off, then I would say the likes of Maidstone down towards Tunbridge Wells and East of that will have the best shot. Other than that, cold and dry.
  7. Lovely pic of Belfairs there Paul. What I would give for those scenes again. Hey ho always next winter...
  8. Looks like to me another repeat of Monday. A very narrow band of snow showers pushing SW from the wash. Probably giving a light covering. Everyone else, dry as a bone. Pretty localised. Great for those of you under the train. For the rest of us, very frustrating again. With the models showing HP in charge for the forseeable I am very close to throwing the towel in on another crap winter for my area.
  9. Had about 1mm in Sarfend overnight. Melted already. Pish. Next....
  10. Well fair play to the Euro4 called it fairly well tonight. The NMM however is wrong by about 150 miles + massive FAIL. Those in the W/NW of the region enjoy.
  11. Yep. NMM has the showers further East and the Euro4 further West. Toss a coin.... Go in the middle and you cant go wrong!
  12. Errm either the NMM is on one, or most of us are waking up to a decent blanket of snow...
  13. Just seen this pic of a friends back garden in Ontario, Canada. Now thats what you call snow! 40cm+ in less than 12 hours Schools still open and everyone going about their business as normal!
  14. Zilch in Sarfend. Well at least we saw some flakes falling this winter I suppose. Another pants winter overall.
  15. We will see. It will have to go some to settle. The ground is now sopping from the snow/rain mix we have had for the last hour or so.
  16. Hammering down with heavy wet snow in Sarfend. Not settling though.
  17. About a 1cm light covering in Sarfend this morn. Nice to see after almost 2 years.
  18. Struggling a bit more up river Paul. Just about got a dusting on the grass and cars but mostly melting on impact.
