    Yep. Wind just switched to the NW at last. Expect a decent drop off in temps and dp's over the next hour or two and hopefully we will join the snow crew around 7pm.

    Interesting. I can see a spell of heavy snow for some towards the east of the region after dark. But, the troublesome disruptive type I think is unlikely due to saturated/warm ground. Unless it really comes down at 1-2" an hour rates, then it could stick.

    Indeed. He was a character and as I said above played a star role in one of the biggest LOL moments in NW history. I can't remember the year though, must of 2010 I reckon. Anyone able to dig out that thread?

    Very good. There's a few of us in here from the Southend/Rochford/Leigh/Benfleet areas. Always good fun when snow is around. Lamp posts at the ready from around 6-9pm.

    Impressive! Have you seen Ian Brown Plum? I will never ever forget that "WTF" moment on the model thread all those years ago. Still to this day the greatest moment in NW history. Would love to see that thread if its in the archive somewhere?

    METO still mentioning a spell of sleet/snow around dawn tomorrow for our region (more likely the further east and away from coasts) could give us a dusting by rush hour Friday.
