  1. Happy to - what is your business? Grey and cool here again this morning. Perfect Christmas tree selecting day!
  2. Morning everyone I see we’re on the will it/won’t it train again in the mod thread so winter must almost be here! Good fun though and interesting to watch. I have our company Christmas party in London next Thursday so I imagine it’ll be freezing what with it being a fancy party dress code and not one where I can wear my snow boots (bought this time last year which then jinxed us all out of a snowy spell - sorry ) or a woolly hat. This morning it is almost 7c and patchy cloud.
  3. Morning - coldest night of the autumn so far for my weather station at 3.0c. Currently 3.6c. Despite being on the edge of the town, as there are slight inclines all around us so we are a little frost hollow - one of the closest stations only a little uphill is at 6c.
  4. More rain here today than we had in June, July and August combined - 42.1mm so far with further showers incoming
  5. Some pretty squally showers overnight, most of the action west of here from the looks of it. Some of you guys in west Kent and the sussexes will be getting the heaviest of it now.
  6. Just had a little look around some weather stations in the far SW as I saw online that Cornwall was being battered despite no MO warning for them. Found with a 111mph gust! Personal Weather Station Dashboard | Weather Underground WWW.WUNDERGROUND.COM Weather Underground provides local & long-range weather forecasts, weather reports, maps & tropical weather conditions for locations worldwide.
  7. The wind has gone crazy down here on the coast in the last few minutes. Would not be surprised if some lost some fence panels overnight.
  8. Same here, I don’t close it unless it’s so windy it is blowing the curtains in. Never have the heating on in the night either, it’s so warm under a duvet there’s no need. Thankfully not needed it on at all yet this year, first time we’ll have made it to November with no central heating at all.
  9. Another “a bit of everything” day - amazing sunrise, some brief showery rain and then sunny spells. And of course the unseasonable warmth continues; a high of 19.9c today and still 16.1c as we approach midnight. For the first time ever I think I’m going to achieve my goal of no central heating on before November!
  10. Some very heavy showers overnight accompanied by squally winds made for a disturbed sleep. Temp has finally dropped a little at least, now to 12.9c at the moment
  11. I’ve found one that seems ok. Not looking good even for inland Florida. Gusting to hurricane force even in the central areas for a time
  12. Can anyone recommend a tv station to watch online that is covering the approach please?
  13. Few bits of drizzle and one heavy ish burst spurn 4pm as I left work but even that wasn’t widespread as only a mile down the road at home it was dry! That heavy stuff is sitting just a couple of miles off the coast - if it had stuck around the warning would’ve been correct. But I also see it’s been fairly persistent between Brighton and Eastbourne the last couple of hours so maybe some flooding locally there
  14. Have you got a link to the NOAA site please? My old book marked link won’t open and I can’t seem to find it when searching either
  15. Shower after shower here today, 22mm!! Sad news about the Queen In happier news, I believe it is @Tom Quintavalle birthday today? If I’m not mistaken, Happy Birthday!
  16. Same here! Shows storms all of daylight hours tomorrow. Unsurprisingly I am sceptical of the forecast ha ha
