No, me too - I don’t count the 10 flakes yesterday as it’s rained for hours before that happened. Nothing in December either! I’m also hoping we can get a properly easterly (or NE’ly) in here next winter too. A streamer is always best round this way for delivering a decent covering. -

There is snow falling from the sky! On Tuesday, I’m going to London to see a show (was meant to happen in 2020!) and I see there’s another cold shot incoming that day. What’s the betting it’ll blizzard and the trains will be cancelled…

They’ve been wet snow or graupel here this afternoon. Nothing happening of course, too brief and ground too wet to lay

A few flakes here earlier as the temperature plummeted and the wind got up but that was it. The wind was mental for a short while! (I was so excited to see a flake at all, I took this very excited video of the snow blowing across the town towards the hills) IMG_5899.MOV

You could - I’ve had no snow at all this winter, not even a brief dusting! Watching the temps drop away to the north and west of me, even if I could get an hour of snow falling now I’d take it! 9c with 7mm of rain since midnight

At least he makes sense and speaks the truth, unlike some other overpaid presenter of question time that I could name. Lovely, I’m jealous too! Another miserable day here - up to 9c and 32mm of rain so far to add to yesterdays 19.51mm. If you go by the rough 1mm rain = 1cm snow rule we’d have been laughing had the colder air just dug further south and stayed a while.

It hasn’t here. It’s snowing but not settling as the DP is just over freezing. So I’ve missed out again! What’s it like in Maidstone please? My friend is supposed to be driving there this morning.

Love a good day (or two!) of regional weather interest! We sometimes go days with a handful of posts, get a sniff of snow or a thunderstorm on the horizon and we’re buzzing again ️

Colder than forecast here this morning at -0.8c with a dew point of -2.1c and the sun is rising in clear skies. Saw the precip is heading into Norfolk with snow on its eastern edge so the lower 850’s must have hung on there

Ha ha, brilliant! Reminds me of a day in December 2017 we had a very heavy frost and I made the little guy below out of what had formed on top of the car. He was about 2 inches tall ️

Morning Mod thread starting to fill up with in my back yard posts, excitedly showing charts full of snow if you live Midlands north. A gloomy start here, currently 4.8c with a lighter wind than last night, felt bitter in the strong NE’ly!

Didn’t have anything here in SE Kent sadly, just a few miles up the road it snowed and stuck for days (albeit as an icy slush fest for some) but we had zilch here! I’d gladly take a last chance at snow before the too hot summer comes back to fry us all again.

A couple of short wintry showers here this morning. Temperature dropped from 6c to 4c and as the dew point is already just under freezing it was just cold enough to be graupel IMG_5805.MOV Also had a very brief walk along the seafront as it was so chilly. The wind is biting today!

Planning a move to the highlands within 5 years. Not just for the increased snow risk, but also to try and miss the ever increasing heat down here and the never ending building that’s going on. The rate we’re going the whole of Kent will be built over. Just want a decent garden to grow some veggies and fruit, some proper seasons and some peace and quiet

Morning - quoted above from the mod thread. This is a positive for us lot I think, yes? I know it’s almost march etc but with uppers like that if we can generate some showers off the sea and a breeze to pull it in, we might actually see something? It’s been 2 years since I’ve seen any snow so I’m hoping so!

We’re into a will it/won’t it period again. After seeing some posts in the mod thread saying you can’t get decent snow in late Feb and March I went back to my 2018 photos and found we had snowfall that year on 27th Feb, 1st - 2nd March and then again on 17th March which hung around for a couple of days. So I’m a little optimistic!

We’re in a small dip from the stations around us so mine will sometimes read lower. Very hard frost though, lovely to look at. Currently 7.4c

-3.6c here just now, far lower than the forecast 0c. Can see a fair few -5c to -7c about across Kent too this morning so a very cold start

Looks like another nice day ahead, woken to clear skies and -2c with a frost. Looking around, there’s a fair few -3c to -5c about so a hard frost for some. As with some posts yesterday, also happy with this if there’s to be no snow. Sunny days and frosty starts are perfect!
