  1. After this band moves east there is a break in the weather : http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/radar/ Karyo
  2. Yes, very impressive! We are under a very intense band of snow now but according to the radar it may ease a bit soon. Karyo
  3. Thank you mate, I'll inform him! The size of the snow flakes is unbelievable! The radar is looking rther lively and a streamer has formed! Also a band of showers that left northern Ireland earlier should affect many parts soon. Karyo
  4. My friend is flying to his family in Italy at 4pm today but by the look of things he can expect disruption! I've noticed that the heaviest snow showers are preceded by a short spell of hail - very impressive! Crazy snowfall now! Karyo
  5. Glad you're getting it too Stephen! Things may get marginal later on the coast as the westerly picks up but there's certainly loads of precipitation around! Karyo
  6. This is stunning! Heavy snow falling on frozen surfaces! The colour of the sky keeps changing! Karyo
  7. Snowing again! It seems that Manchester is under the one line of snow showers! Lovely! Radar looks good too! Karyo
  8. Indeed Mr D! I was slightly concerned when I first saw the radar this morning but this are looking better and better now! Karyo
  9. Snowing nicely now in Manchester city centre! The latest radar shows that the line of showers in the Irish sea has intensified quite a bit in the last hour! Looking good! Karyo
  10. well, light snow is falling now but nothing much. The problem I have is that my flat looks to the east so on days like today I can't see what's coming! haha Karyo
  11. The latest bbc24 forecast with Alex Deakin looked quite good. The showers will continue all day with the afternoon seing the main body of action! Tonight will also be snowy with the showers forming a line just north of Manchester. Some areas could see good accumulations from this! Karyo
  12. That's good, I should be affected by your shower in a few mins! Karyo
  13. The latest radar is a bit more promising! The showers in the south of the region seem to have formed a line and intensified a bit. Karyo
  14. Yes, it seems that the Manchester area is between the two bands of showers! Let's hope that more will form over the sea... Karyo
  15. Just having the second snow shower ofthe day. Not heavy but adding to the earlier dusting. The radar shows that the heaviest showers are in a line from the coast of Northern Irelandto the northwest of the region. Don't know if we'll get those heavy ones as it depends on the wind direction. At the moment we're relying on the light/moderateshowers forming over the irish sea. Karyo
  16. Just woke up to a dusting of snow! The snow shower has now cleared to the east. It's a day of radar watching, the temperature should not be a problem this time! Karyo
  17. It's inevitable that the wind will change direction as the low comes down. It will become slack by Monday though and will allow the surface cold to build. Expect some impressive minima under clear skies early next week. Karyo
  18. Don't worry, the wind direction will change from northerly to northwesterly and then westerly. As a result, the showers will affect the entire region. Karyo
  19. Indeed, some nice progress there! Pretty shortly the Isle of Man will be affected. Karyo
  20. That's a lovely fax chart for less than 24 hours from now! It clearly shows the one trough that will affect s during the day, exiting the east coast - this means it should be an active feature! Then the next one is in the Irish sea and should affect us in the first part of the night. Excellent! Karyo
  21. We still have sevral days of cold and wintry weather to come. Unlikely to warm up before Christmas and the ensembles keep it chilly up to Boxing day! That's a week from now! Just enjoy the wintry weather and don't worry about FI. http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=ensviewer;sess= Karyo
  22. Very icy in Manchester as the sky is clearing! The snow showers in Northern Ireland are looking very healthy but still a good 6 hours or more before they start affecting us. Karyo
  23. 2c. I'm afraid the band is narrow and will soon clear though... Karyo
