Lovely to see snow here in April and a real bonus for me having spent the winter in warmer countries.

Snowing nicely in Piccadilly.

The showers have returned here but this time it is mainly sleety rain with some hail mixed in.

Sun and snow now, it is crazy to look at haha
I hope the sun helps to boost shower development this afternoon. The Euro 4 is showing some beefy ones for later today.

Snowing moderately now in Piccadilly!

A mix of soft hail and sleet now in Piccadilly.

Oh, you've gone under the radar and sneaked back to blighty.
Welcome back.
Thank you mate
It was nice to see some snow falling the other day.

Morning,
I am just north of the shower zone. To the north of me it is mostly blue sky while to the south of me the clouds have that wintry uniform look.

Good to see a few spotless days at last!

I remember back in September I was looking at the count of spotless days thinking we would do better than 2018. Now it looks almost certain we will fall behind.

Hello lassie23. I will see what I can do, but it won't be more than a few paragraphs. I can say with some certainty that I don't believe that it will be a very cold winter- and the next month looks set to be a continuation of the mild, wet and windy theme.
Thank you for your input. Sad news but not surprising.
Regardless of that I hope you find the time to even do a brief winter forecast.

How are you doing with rainfall so far this autumn?
It is exceptionally dry in most parts of mainland Greece. Southern parts on the other hand have had flash floods from almost stationary low pressure.

Iota (they should have spelt it yota to properly pronounce it as the Greek letter) is now a hurricane and strengthening fast!
Expected to reach major hurricane status before crashing on poor Nicaragua.
-
Eta is looking much healthier today and nearing hurricane strength again.
Eta is expected to make landfall somewhere in western Florida tomorrow, probably as a strong tropical storm.

Yes, it looks potentially catastrophic for parts of central America. The models then show the remnants of this system re-organising and eventually a hurricane reforms in the Caribbean

The tropics still look sleepy.

Aye but it did that a week or 10 days ago, amounted to nothing...I'm not saying it will this time mind.
Yes, it is obvious from their posts that the spaceweather people are keen to see a busy sun.

Nice long spotless stretch. Might be coming to an end though judging by spaceweather.com and the slight rise of solar flux.

It looks like the chances for a US landfall have increased. Maybe that developing high pressure cell in a few days time, can push teddy a bit further west.

The uneventful weather follows me wherever I go. I am in northern Greece (kavala) where it is going to be dry and sunny while the west and south gets all the action.

Heres a webcam looking at Turtle island.
If that red line track above is correct, the fifth red circle is practically over this cam.
More Greek cams here but I need Karyo to read the language so that I can highlight the applicable one's.
The cams that contain Attikis are applicable for tomorrow as they are in Athens area.
Ithaca 1, 2 and 3 as this is in the Ionian sea
Also try typing kefalonia on skyline Webcam's for today's action

Sally has re-strengthened over night and she currently has 105mph sustained wnds. She is making landfall currently between Mobile and Pensacola but moving at only 2mph. There is going to me some extreme flooding as a result.

Yes I am watching developments as I an in Greece currently. It looks like northern Greece (where I am) is likely to be unaffected but certainly the potential for flash floods for the west and south.

Thank you Rush! Yes, the Athens snowfall was something else.
