I thought it was behaving similar to SC24 so far?

The article does not compare it to SC24, it focuses on the comparison with the forecasts. In fact, they are saying that this cycle may even reach its peak early because of the increased activity. All an all, it is not good news for quiet sun worshippers like us.

Interesting forecast. Some night time shows possible tonight. Tomorrow looks a bit quieter, but then Wednesday is the next one that could be quite eventful for many, with widespread storms during the day.

I think if anything tomorrow looks better than Wednesday as there will be plenty of shower activity and light winds. By Wednesday the winds will be stronger so if a storm occurs it will move through very quickly.

AROME, WRF-NMM and Euro4 all painting a similar picture a pronounced line stretching from somewhere in EA southwestwards across the London region and through the other side.

That line could as ever be a 10-20 miles further east or west and if the line does not move far very quickly, could mean some very high rainfall totals.

Yes, the convergence zone has the potential to re-create what happened nearly two weeks ago when parts of London were affected by flooding.

Same with euro4 and ukv!!one thing ive noticed is there was a lot of rain forecasted more widely for england for this weekend it now looks mainly dry for most areas especially when viewing the ukv!!

Yes, it looks like a dry weekend for the majority of the country. At some point it looked like much of England and Wales would get rain/showers but the downgrades have been continuous.

    Does the high stay instead?

I feel we've been hot long enough lol.

The high slowly erodes but the thundery low tracks further south (mainly over France) and then moves north over the north sea. Still some action for the southeast in particular but only a day or so ago it looked a much more widespread event as the low was projected to be further north.

It looks like we will have an light easterly flow on Saturday and a northerly on Sunday.
