I'll be in the Newcastle-Durham areaon Sunday and keeping an eye on this feature. There is much embedded cold air at the surface and I suspect quite a few hours of snow would fall, of the wet variety before rapidly turning to rain, but it may arrive a bit later should the front be slower moving. I highly doubt 13 degrees will be recorded on Monday, there is colder air ready to attack from the NW, can see the warm sector being squeezed quickly.
NW... cold and dry again

Northen Scotland has taken an absolute pummelling this spell.

Significant shower activity reaching west to east in northern Scotland compared to before. If they maintain their intensity then east coast could get something later.
Showers up there appears to be tracking more north to south now instead of north west to south east as they were earlier?
Ive been keeping an eye on this. Last chance saloon

Showers been skirting the coast all night only hitting the far NE of Northumberland and E Yorkshire. I dont think its going to change. This has to be the coldest period without significant widespread snow in the region I can remember.

the Westmoor/Forest Hall snow shield has been deployed yet again
It's getting to the point now when it's more than just coincidence. Too many times do the showers split to the north and south

I would be getting the cutters out. Just turn the cut side to the window, then when the showers are on rotate it so you can get down the side

It looks good up north, but that could end up dissipating or intensifying before it gets here. What is of note is shower activity seems to be developing behind the main clump, so there could be more showers later. Who's going to get lucky!... Not been a flake here so my turn! One things for sure... the snow will be lying even on the sand!

Been in the lakes since Saturday. A light dusting here and there. Most of the hills have no snow. No snow all the way back over the A69. No snow back at home.. Quite surprising that many other places in the UK have snow cover.

By the current track, it looks like it will miss me. Better chances in S. Tyneside though...
