  1. They have been dieing away above me, but I guess some will push further inland.
  2. -12 near here at Linton on Ouse. Further snow showers pushing inland over the next few hours.
  3. Heavy showers from the east dieing away for now, forecast to pick up again tonight.
  4. Showers now reaching here. New covering on cleared roads now. Moderate to heavy and large flakes at the moment.
  5. Heavier showers developing out in the north Sea something to watch for later !. Also allot activity now around the Humber.
  6. Snow streamers have been hitting here for a few hours now and more to come.
  7. The showers from the north sea producing moderate snow.. new covering where I just cleared a path ! Some very large flakes at times.
  8. Showers now coming into North Yorkshire from the North Sea. Snowing here from showers. Getting further in land than forecast.
  9. The band of snow has cleared here and left about 3-4 inches. Extremely slow traffic, took 2 hours to drive to York when it normally takes 15min -> 20min. Nice result
  10. We have a few inches here at least and still falling. Extremely pleased. Its going to get very server south of our region.
  11. These are showers from the Irish sea, they where not expected to push so far inland at this stage.
  12. GFS 18Z V radar Looks like the front is slightly further south with more showers getting further inland from west.
  13. The band is forecast to be week in places before it strengthens south of our region, or maybe in the south west of our region. North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire would not get that much snow if the forecast is right. Better chance for West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire. But I have a feeling there will be a few more changes before the night is over.
  14. They change because he keeps an eye on the latest charts. He often forecasts late chances in forecasts before other forecasters. I would say hes more up to date.. but still it can still change.
  15. Paul Hudson saying only light snow (1cm or so be for it clears) for North Yorkshire tomorrow morning. This backs up the bbc forecast and latest charts with the heavy stuff in the west until it reaches the midlands. There seems to be a dry sector in central Scotland, maybe thats the area heading to North Yorkshire.
  16. It would stick and would be deeper compared to dry snow. Between York and Malton about 5 inches fell in 1 hour new years day, the impressive depth was partly due to the massive flakes that where falling.
  17. It suggests to me big wet snow flakes rather than finer dry snow. Rain away from the beach would be very unlikely.
  18. Vale of York from Sutton Bank Taken Jan 3rd 2010
