  1. Excellent! storm clouds/convection is building to my West quite rapidly . Here's hoping lol
  2. Always a case of hit or miss in these kind of set-ups. But I'm hoping we all see something if it pans out! I've not got a weather warning as of yet lol South Gloucestershire has but I know I will later on I'm sure of it lol.Fingers crossed .
  3. It seems rather quiet on here today. Are we just waiting for the fun and games to start or are we just maybe a little over excited at the potential and it may not happen lol. Time will tell later I suppose.
  4. Wow at Estofex for tomorrow some of us are bound to get something . Autumns better for storms this year! Good luck everyone again and especially to all us storm-starved who have been deprived some what this year.
  5. Hey Paul, I've only had one flash and rumble all Summer But I know some members haven't even had that yet. Good luck to us all I say! If anything does happen we must try and not sleep through it
  6. And a coffee here in Cheltenham Lol (only joking) Yes, hopefully round 2 tonight and in the early hours. I hope it wakes me up Lol. It looks to be a stormy week next week, so plenty to look forward to.
  7. It's looking good! http://meteocentre.com/lightning/map_sfuk.php?date=0〈=en&size=standard&map=Europe&data=zeus&type=strikes
  8. Another update for tonight from the TORRO guys... Well done to all the forecasters today it seems to be panning out. Good luck again guys. I can't get the link up because my FF address bar has gone missing lol. TORNADO WATCH Valid from/until: 17:15- 09:00GMT on Saturday 19th/Sunday 20th October 2013 for the following regions Central and S England Wales CONVECTIVE DISCUSSION Eire Southern N Ireland THREATS Tornadoes; wind gusts to 60mph; hail 30-40mm diamter; CG lightning DISCUSSION Slow-moving upper and surface low to the west of the British Isles will maintain a deeply unstable rPm airmass. Vorticity maxima rotating around this low are generating more coherant areas of shower/thunderstorm acivity. This activity is embedded with in a flow regime characterised by shear marginally supportive of supercell structures. Recent radar returns depict showers and thunderstorms in the SW approaches which are indicative of organised updraughts. A more pronounced vort max should move NE across the WATCH area overnight, with showers and thunderstorms becoming widespread, especially across the southern half of the area. The northern zone of risk is rather uncertain, and the box may be too far north. Within the WATCH there is a risk of tornadoes, and if rotating updraughts are present, some reasonably large hail is possible, although this may be modulated somewhat by the high waterloading of updraughts, given the moist airmass. Across the DISCUSSION area (Eire/N Ireland) shear is lower, but strongly veering low-level wind profiles are suggestive of isolated tornadoes with stronger updraughts. http://www.torro.org.uk/site/forecast.php Link done now mananged to work it out Nor can I ever get the map up either lol
  9. So pleased some of us have had something today. I am so happy I got just one flash of lightning and thunder. The lightning was like 3 strikes at once. Lots of CB's forming again here. Here's hoping we all get to see something tonight and in the early hours. Fingers crossed for us all.
  10. Lovely heavy downpours here.Waiting on the thunder and lightning now lol .Wind has really picked up.
  11. Just went across the fields to take my dog out and there's some lovely CB's and cloudscapes around. Fingers crossed for later on . I'll give them chance to build up ready to explode into storms for here later Lol
  12. And here's one from TORRO My turn today Lol, Lots of warnings, so good luck guys. A TORRO CONVECTIVE DISCUSSION has been issued at 09:20GMT on Saturday 19th October 2013 Valid from/until: 09:20 – 21:00GMT on Saturday 19th October 2013 for the following regions of the United Kingdom & Eire: Wales Western England SW Scotland IoM Eire N Ireland THREATS Isolated tornadoes; wind gusts to 50mph; CG lightning; hail SYNOPSIS A deep upper low and associated surface low are to the SW of the British Isles. Numerous vorticity maxima are rotating around it. Currently, a frontal zone across SE England is waving, as such a vort max approaches. To the west of the frontal zone, a moist, unstable rPm airmass exists, and the approaching vort max has generated a line of heavy showers and thunderstorms. Given the linear nature and modest shear, a few wind gusts are possible with these - the small chance of an isolated tornado. This broken line will spread across the whole of the discussion area through today, with the associated risks mentioned above. Behind this, more scattered convective activity will occur. This also resides in an environment characterised by shear marginal for severe weather. However, given some low-level veering and a moist airmass/low LCLs, an isolated tornado or two is possible. Overnight, the convective regime will continue, with another vort max approaching later on. A new forecast is likely to be issued later on to cater for this, but southern and western parts of England and Wales, and southern Eire seem most at risk overnight from isolated tornadoes. Forecaster: RPK. http://www.torro.org.uk/site/myimg.gif
  13. You're welcome I always say when it comes to storms to never give up lol. I will get a storm one day I'm a 100% sure of that good your house move is going ok let's hope you get a storm too.
  14. Hi Supacell. Sunday is looking better then tomorrow! tommorows potential is more for those who live by the coast and more to the West and SW. I'm not included once again Lol.. shall keep you more updated soon as we know more. Good luck with your house move.
  15. Just had an amazing 5 minute downpour here.It came out of nowhere. The best I've seen weather-wise all year Lol.
  16. I'm not giving up just yet lol. Autumn time can be really good for storms . It used to happen here back in the old days lol. Mind,I've always said that by the sea fares pretty well from September onward. Even though the sun isnt so strong around this time of year these storms can still happen! the sun is not needed everytime lol there's plenty more ingredients that can make a storm. The sun is never strong when it comes to thundersnow so there is always a good chance all year around if that makes sense lol...
  17. I thought I heard thunder just now but it cant have been. It's now getting to the stage where I'm beginning to imagine it Lol I am so storm starved I could scream Lol.
  18. Typical Supacell, just typical Lol I'm used to it now, this always happens.
  19. New thread here. http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/78039-convective-storm-discussion-4th-october-onwards-2013/
  20. New thread here folks. Here's hoping the rest of Autumn will provide before we head into winter! I'm still waiting......lol
  21. So pleased for any of you who got a storm early hours. I don't even know if I had a storm !if I did I must of slept through it and I would never sleep through a storm. I'm going to look back at the radars and see if I did get one. I'll not be happy if I did miss one Lol, Going to start a new thread soon, but well done to whoever did get a storm.
