heavy sleet in Bournemouth. Temp 2c dp 0.5, T850 about -2. Temps 5 or 6 in Channel Is so I expect them to rise here before too long.
Only sleet there? thats strange, its really heavy snow and huge flakes and a couple of inches has settled in the last 30 mins or so in the Wimborne Area!

its currently blizzard out there, biggest flakes ive ever seen and bout 1-2 inches settled now!!! worst iver seen over the last 4 days !

Loving this heavy snow we are having at the moment!!! a couple of cm has now settled on dry ground! 4th night in a row of heavy snow!!

Really heavy snow now here in east dorset and got a covering on the cars and settling on the ground :lol: Thought we were ment to get heavy rain not heavy snow!!

Sleet here now, where in East Dorset RU?
Im in the Wimborne area. It's now sleet with the odd big flake mixed in. Just starting to lay on the car roof slightly.

Quite a moderate to heavy sleet now and blowing around like a blizzard and starting to settle on the car roof! i wonder how long this will last!

Well the precip has arrived here in East Dorset and i was expecting rain but its actually falling as snow!

Very heavy snow here now in east dorset. A couple of CM has settled in the last couple of minutes!! Complete white out again! Thight in a row this has happened here!

am i right in thinking shefali oza has predicted up to 30cm over the hills? could this be the real deal, perhaps making londons event look like a dusting? its marginal, but it could happen folks.
Possibly, the metoffice issued a weather warning late this morning for a exceptionally servere weather event and a general weather warning for heavy and drifting snow for Dorset, Devon and other surrounding areas for both Thursday and Friday.
Would be pretty good if this happened but i wont get my hopes up until i see it! im happy with what we've had so far!.
Fingers crossed though.

We've had it all here today in East Dorset. Heavy snow showeres all day with sun in between and the odd heavy hail shower. One snow shower has a flash of lightning and clap of thunder all in one!. It's still snowing as i type giving a covering. We've been in the fireing line allday with the showers. Snow 3 night in a row :lol: for once!
Any more snow heading for Dorset Thurs/Fri?

We had these nice mammatus in Majorca this summer after an afternoon of thunderstorms. Best mammatus i had seen!

Amazing pics, never seen space pics quite so good as those and as clear

All that precip seems to be heading into the South East now, not West/North!!! but im not complaining, its still snowing heavy here
