Could the next week or so be the first time snow has settled here for over 2 years? Hope so! I'm starting to forget what the stuff looks like

The current rainfall radar image is the classic that brings decent snowfall to this area...shame its 4 degrees too warm at the moment

Andy if we do indeed get serious snowfall forecast this winter I'm going to worry about your state of health....the excitement will be far too much for you!

Hoping this may be the year that we can beat our record in Llanelli of 6 inches of snow from a pembrokeshire dangler in either 04/05, cant remember exactly which - the most snow I've ever seen in my lifetime anyway. I have a good feeling about it this year...though I did last year too...!

Seen quite a few flashes of lightning all evening, plus a lot of hail/sleety stuff mixed into the showers

Had a low of -0.2c here this morning with a decent frost too

My station currently showing 19.7c, its not that accurate in the sun due to bad positioning on my part, but was surprised to see it climb slightly over 20 degrees earlier!

Something strange last night - There was a really heavy shower at around 2am, but nothing whatsoever on the rainfall radar for at least 50 miles?

Would love to see some 3 inch hailstones!...then again...don't fancy a hefty bill for car bodywork repairs

Thought I was seeing things watching the forecast for the week ahead on the bbc news last night! Only a few days ago I was on the beach soaking up the rays!

Would love to see some of the white stuff tonight, I'm a little pessimistic after this winter but at least its the set up where us in the west usually do best! C'mon snow!!

Whats happening in places where it was snowing earlier? Is it still going or has it turned to rain?

Temp is slowly creeping up, 0.5c now. Can't see anything falling from the sky at the moment. 2-3cm of snow.
How is this front going to intensify to give the south east 10-15cm of snow? Things usually fizzle out before it reaches eastern England hence why it's such a dry area. Very unusual if you ask me.
Weather man John Hammond stated that he will not be going home tonight because of the snow in London. Get a grip man! 10-15cm is hardly record breaking. They don't half kick up a fuss.
Because he physically can't or because he's too excited watching the radar? haha

Being at a higher elevation I would imagine if the temperature does drop lower you'll see some sticking, or if the precip intensifies!
