    Rain arrived as it was losing intensity. 4.2mm.

    The northeast tip still resolutely avoiding the downpours. Quite a heavy shower in Inverurie earlier but no measurable rain here yet. Radar looks ominous though and Deeside looks like it's getting a soaking.

    Heavy rain for a time this afternoon in Aberdeen but only 7.1mm here at home. We must have been just to the north of the heavier stuff for the most part.

    Beautiful day with a max here of 21.2 although I was in Broughty Ferry most of the afternoon/evening where it was also lovely and warm!

    Permission to TOORP... feeling a bit bored with this spell already. A few dustings of snow and one brief air frost so far is hardly setting my pulse racing. At least it's nice to see the sun...

    I woke up to about 1cm of snow this morning but most of it had gone when I retuned this evening. Just had a wet snow shower though. This is the 30th day this winter so far with snow falling!

    I was up in Dingwall today and there was only a light flurry. Not really much snow around Inverness itself at all. Returning home, I got to Fochabers heading East along the A96 and things became much more wintry. Apparently lots of snow showers all day here and quite a few graupelly ones too (in contrast to the weekend's large flaked variety).

    Lots of heavy snow showers today and the snow was absolutely perfect for making a snowman... so I did! Never managed last time.

    A bit frustrating today as most of the showers have gone down the North Sea again. Still a good few inches here though and the showers were 'beefy' when they came. Are things looking more promising tomorrow?
