    Great stuff here today! Frequent heavy snow showers with drifting. The roads have been much worse than the last snow because of underlying ice and the drifting and it was pretty hairy getting home with lots of vehicles struggling on slopes.

    Woke up this morning and ALL last night's snow had melted... temp back above 4C.

    It's been snowing here for four hours! Everything is white! Not really forecast...

    Rain has turned to wet snow here!!! Temp 2C and falling, DP 1.4C. I'm at 114m asl.

    Wet and windy. Temperature has been falling from an overnight high of 6.1C and is down to 3.4C. Still snow in the garden though!

    Currently 2.4C after a maximum of 2.7C so not the mildest day of the cold spell here. That honour currently rests with Christmas Day at 3.1C. Slow thaw of (plentiful) lying snow.

    Currently -3.5C here after a "high" of just -1.7C, the lowest maximum of the cold spell so far. Got down to -8C this morning too which I wasn't expecting. Hard to believe that Dyce airport was reporting temperatures above 4C earlier because it's been a different world here.

    Front not quite here yet although it's almost within touching distance. A few flakes of snow falling on the breeze. Temp 1C (DP 0.1C).

    With all the snow falling over recent days I've hardly been looking further ahead, but I get the impression that severe cold is on the way from reading some recent posts. Would ice days be a possibility in eastern areas or would the wind off the sea keep things above freezing? Similarly, are the easterlies going to be less marginal? I'm sure the Aberdeen dwellers would like to know that! Further inland here with 8-9 inches in the garden!!

    Heavy snow here all morning! Settling at a fair rate! I can't believe it's raining in Aberdeen only 20 miles away. Temp here is 0.7C.

    Plenty of snow here overnight - must be about 1-2 inches of fresh snow!!

    Max of 2.8C here today but there's been very little thawing and in fact much of the cm that fell last night is still lying on top of the old snow. Temps have started dropping here (now at 1.8C, DP 0.4C) and snow/soft hail showers are becoming more frequent.

    Currently -2.9C here and sunny. No sign of any showers at the moment although there was a light flurry this morning.

    Well, what a waste of time that feature coming down from the north was here. Fizzled out completely... no new snow here since CHristmas Eve.

    Are the showers in Aberdeenshire likely to become more snow later? It's been really frustrating the last two days with slightly higher temps and sleet showers...

    I waited patiently during the easterly safe in the knowledge that a northerly was setting itself up. Surely I can't be disappointed again!!
