  1. Morning All, staying warm overnight with a low of 14.6°C at: 05:07, currently 17.4°C with RH90% A quiet start to the day on the beach..
  2. A max of 30.6°C today. Currently 28.4°C. I think we will call it a tie today!
  3. The local rag is on a roll... HEAVY rain, thunder and hail is being forecast for the weekend in Dorset. The Met Office has warned of potential flooding and transport disruption, with 100mm of rainfall predicted in some areas of the county. It comes after the county has basked in a heatwave, with temperatures soaring into the high 20s, which is expected to continue until Friday evening. A yellow weather warning has been put in place from 00.01am on Saturday until 11.59pm on Sunday.
  4. Same here, after an overnight low of 13.4°C at: 05:38, currently 19.3°C with RH83 % And of course the early birds on the beach..
  5. Sat image only showers a mere finger of cloud with little apparent depth.. OR Holiday maker beach umbrellas on this shot
  6. Meanwhile GFS is going for this little slow moving puppy for Friday in to Saturday, some welcomed rainfall I hope the garden is looking a tad wilted....
  7. Morning All, clear blue skies to start the day off, after an overnight low of 13.9°C at: 05:36 (slightly down on yesterday) currently 16.8°C and RH90% with a 1.1mph "breeze" in from the east.. The morning satellite pass shows how clear the skies are over the UK this morning.. Whilst the early birds pick their place on the beach...
  8. Early birds on the beach... Whilst the west facing cam does show some variable cloud approaching from the W/SW
  9. Morning All, one of those warm temperature nights, was still 17.7°C at midnight and slowly managed to fall to an overnight low of 14.2°C at: 05:42, from which we begin the heat for today. Currently 27.6°C inside which with no breeze seems to be the order for the next few days..
  10. Can't say we reached the "HOT" definition today with 29.0°C at: 13:51, it needs to pop 30C plus before I consider HOT, 29C has been the peak of many summers in the past, so no prize today...
  11. Looking at that video there's nothing to suggest anything unto ward, as the movements are slow and synchronized, there's no sudden acceleration of anything that would make you think it was anything other than an earthly event, more to the point I wonder why people think it must be planes..Anyway like you, I really don't put that into any category of EXTRA terrestrial..
  12. Hiya, remember that the "hordes" come down the A31 and then the A338 straight in to Bmth, when beaches like Canford Cliffs, Durley Chine, Boscombe, Shore Rd, Sandbanks and Studland are (ssssshhhhh, the locals hide out), b*****r that's done it, even more so Swanage . For some reason people SWARM to Durdle door, I think largely because of the national press. Personal I skip the local beaches until the end of the holiday season, then they can be enjoyed, having lived here for most of my life, I do appreciate the beach, but not when it's full of hordes of people, and I love it in the winter..oh and of course I can take my dogs back for a wander along the shoreline
  13. And we're off running today...currently 25.1°C.. and the beach welll it is filling rapidly.. And this was the view yesterday..
  14. Wall to wall blue skies, after an overnight low of 12.3°C at: 05:38, currently 16.2°C with RH89%. Noticeably the wind direction has moved from S/SSE yesterday to ENE this morning.. More road closures today…I wonder? The A31 is already showing congestion, and the M27 has a 10minute delay at Junction 1 heading in to Dorset…
  15. According to the local rag just now it says "BCP Council had issued 319 penalty charges notices up to 5pm." on the last hot day I think it was closer to 700, BUT they still have tomorrow to catch up!
  16. Making the most of the sunshine from the beachcam... Question: Is it as convenient to take the BCP parking fine, for a day's parking at a convenient spot when going to the beach. THink about it... You park where you want in a convenient location of your choice, you don't pay the exorbitant car parking fees, and you have an a convenient walk back to the car at the end of the day...I wonder! OK so you have a fine to pay, but think of the covenience AND the fact you would have paid part of the fine in parking fees..
