  1. Real Time Lightning Map :: LightningMaps.org WWW.LIGHTNINGMAPS.ORG See lightning strikes in real time across the planet. Free access to maps of former thunderstorms. By Blitzortung.org and contributors. At the ready then, if only it were a decent plume, but with your eye in the sky at least you'll see further than most should anything head over the channel before it fizzles out..can we use you as an early warning device?
  2. Make sure you have enough food for 4 days, coz I'm not convinced tomorrow night holds anything of value storm wise here, unless you are prepared to chase it as it goes up country..
  3. Cloud seems reluctant to want to completely disappear as shown on the satellite shot..
  4. A shift some 60-80 miles eastwards on Thursday nights outbreak, suggesting as a models are doing this is becoming "initially" more of a SE event (this shows possible precipitation) so no complaints, finally some rain to water the plants... Meanwhile shear and CI maps showing a Kent event..
  5. Morning All, partly cloudy start as the beachcam confirms this morning with the tail end of the clearing from the weakening front from last night Overnight low of 11.2°C at: 04:50, currently 14.9°C with RH69%
  6. Now personally I like the look of that, time to go find a camera. it be a late night or early morning storm chasing if this hint is any good...
  7. Morning All, a clear sunny start to the week. A week possibly of two parts but time will tell, not overly convinced on much precip from the breakdown as it certainly looks more eastern UK focused than SW right now, but we shall see, movement of 100miles changes everything.. Overnight low of 9.9°C at: 05:29, currently 18.8°C..
  8. A peak here of 23.7°C at: 13:22, seems in line with temperatures around the south of the Uk, meanwhile the beachlovers are soaking it all in... Are there really two people on the pier zip?
  9. Costa Del Weymouth anybody? Meanwhile the temperature climb rate has eased from earlier, now 23.2°C at: 10:59
  10. Apart from the webcam link given you can find more in the local area on my website @ PooleWeather.UK WWW.POOLEWEATHER.UK
  11. I see the empire builders are already out with their Gazebo and multiple wind shields staking their property claim on the beach this morning..gonna be a LOT of burnt people tomorrow with the 20C mark already broken...20.9°C currently Not quite as busy here...
  12. Morning All, after an overnight low of 10.1°C at: 05:24, with clear blue sky, temperatures are on a roll already it’s 16.5°C, all to play for…
  13. I suppose we had the aftermath of the G7 summit with the RED ARROWS flying over the house.. Peak of 24.3°C at: 15:48...nice..
  14. Morning All, overnight mist has cleared in the main, but we have our layer of St again today, complete with drizzle.. which appears to have blown away the concept of a heat wave! Overnight low was a very mild 13.3°C at: 04:15 which is about the same as yesterday, currently 14.5°C at: 08:27 with the RH95%...the beachcam shot this morning, overcast and gloomy, and I expected it to be warm and sunny now the eclipse day has passed, Oh well, I guess it's good to be wrong..
  15. Managed to get a glimpse of the eclipse and a photo, now need to get it off my phone and crop it..
  16. It's brightening, maybe a thinning of the cloud cover is on the cards, with maximum eclipse at 11:06 t's gonna have to get its skates on......
  17. Same here, unless this lot shifts no Eclipse viewing today! Hmmmm The beachcam confirms..
