  1. Well 2.4mm for the day, that's 50% of last months total, so looking good to break the monthly total...
  2. How do you manage that? We've had SOME rain but nothing more than 20-30mins light rain! BUT, we begin a new month and we begin the rainfall measure so, fingers crossed we will beat last month, currently 1.8 mm.. The webcam does show nicely you being plastered !
  3. The rain collection unit will be home to spiders as the rain has been lacking, at least some chance from Monday to beat the April total!
  4. Morning All, after another frosty night with a low of -1.7°C at: 04:42, currently 9.1°C. A nice convergence zone setup to my south as the wind direction shows, with the showers along the zone line The beachcam shot shows nicely where the showers are @Mapantz's webcam also shows the convergence zone nicely today as it looks to that direction
  5. Is that not typical as the month ends so it rains! A meagre 0.6.mm of rainfall to top the month off at 5.4 mm... @Mapantz you got lucky then!
  6. After a clear start but some showers to the north of the area as the satellite image shows below An overnight low of 0.8°C at: 05:14 has climbed to 6.7°C Interesting Metar report from Bournemouth Airport, most recent: Time: 08:48 (07:48 UTC) Forecast The report was made 47 minutes ago, at 07:01 UTC Forecast valid from 30 at 07 UTC to 30 at 15 UTC Wind 2 kt from variable directions Visibility 10 km or more Few clouds at a height of 4500 ft Temporary from 30 at 10 UTC to 30 at 15 UTC Visibility: 7000 m Rain showers Probability 30% : Temporary from 30 at 12 UTC to 30 at 15 UTC Visibility: 3000 m (heavy) showers, small hail or snow pellets Meanwhile the beachcam does show the thin cloud that has crept in to the area
  7. With the up and coming weekend, I suspect more of this empty view could well be the order of the day... Having peaked at 12.6°C at: 11:39 , with the sea temperature of 10.1°C slightly below the mean temperature for this time of year..
  8. Well it's looking good out there today, the sea is calm, the sun is out,...the temperatures in the northerly light breeze are struggling but right now it's 11.7°C...
  9. We finished the days rainfall count as we started a mere 0.2mm of rain. My son who lives just over a mile away couldn’t understand why I was saying we’d had no rain as he had heavy rain and hail at his place...the wonder of the weather. So April is drawing to a close and unless something changes real quick , it’s going to be a very dry one for the record..with a mere 4.8mm or (0.19” in old money! ) for the whole month.. Meanwhile, the clear skies have allowed the temperatures to drop, currently 1.2°C at: 04:17, likely to go lower yet..
  10. Missed again, whilst folks a mile away have noted heavy rainfall and hail, meanwhile here it's bone dry,..
  11. It kinda depends how quick this low moves it butt to clear the area, once it does the cooler air from oop north looks to do the backfill. The NW temperature chart for 02:00 tomorrow suggests the chance looks good, but, the cloud certainly will need to shift..
  12. And to be honest having dropped another strike it doesn't look ominous ... No measurable rain from it for us though, still at 0.2mm from just after midnight.. Fairly tight spread for the reported strikes this afternoon..
  13. The cell to my south has just dropped a lightning strike.. With the cell intensifying a second strike followed.. With a second strike about 1.7miles away...
  14. I saw two spots come passing by and that was our rainfall, the centre of the low picked out nicely on the radar currently..
  15. Amazing we've had some rain..all 0.2mm of it! With the cloud overnight keeping temperatures up the low of 5.3°C at: 06:33, has made it up to 11.3°C The view towards Lyme Bay suggests thicker cloud confirmed by the radar showing an encroaching band of rain as the low sinks into the channel, with the centre currently in Lyme bay..
  16. Morning All, the overnight temperatures dipping sub zero with the low of -1.1°C at: 06:19, currently 8.7°C and sunny with a light breeze in from the SW..holding out for some rain this week..
  17. Morning All, an overcast start, keeping temperatures up, with the overnight low of 2.2°C at: 05:59..
  18. Choppy surf even though the wind has eased from earlier...temperature peaked at 16.6°C at: 14:39
  19. Morning All,no sub zero temps last night with the overnight low of 2.3°C at: 05:07, currently 13.1°C And full on sunshine, although the breeze has increased noticeably since early this morning..
  20. Morning All, clear skies again th morning, with a frost on the car again this morning, with the current air temperature of 0.2°C at: 05:57..the breeze this morning having shifted to an offshore, shown by fewer waves this morning on the beachcam The early morning satellite shot suggests clear skies across the majority of the Uk..
