  1. It's not all about the ground temperature, there's a lot more going on in the atmosphere in April to create this. Even the fools come out to play in April..
  2. An interesting afternoon with graupel earlier, the aheavy snow shower now some rain, and some good activity cloud wise, a passing shower and some promising activity a little further east
  3. Morning All, after a subzero night and some welcomed rainfall overnight a clearing sky and temperatures are rising slowly, currently 6.5°C, with an increasing in strength breeze from the NE. Pressure back on the rise again @ 1019.3 mb... A few brave souls braving the cooler air this more and hoping the sun will warm them...
  4. Morning All after some welcomed rainfall, currently partly cloudy and -0.6°C, and hovering around the overnight low temperature..
  5. Morning All, after an overnight low of 3.2°C at: 06:51 currently 5.5°C with a light breeze in from the NW, and Sc cover. Radar suggests the smallest risk of some patchy rain, but I think that'll disappear as it moves eastwards.. The litter pickers are out and about on the raked beach this morning
  6. Knocker what's your thoughts on this one, as the cooler air really doesn't appear to be overly potent, and the rain over north of France seems to be wandering around more to the east than initially expected?
  7. Whilst digging a shrub out this morning I came across this, 3' in to the stones & soil, there it was still hiding..fortunately I didn't harm it in anyway, I picked it up and moved it on after having a chat and passing the time of day!... It was a fair size about 10inches (25cms in new money) long, and I managed to pick it up and then move it on to place I wasn't planning to dig. Love these little surprises, as these are so rare, and yet every year we do manage to see at least one... Shows how stony and sandy our "soil" is here!
  8. Peaking at 11.6°C at: 12:41 a fair degree of patchy Sc cloud, is causing some warm and then cool parts to the day, still plenty nice enough to hit the garden and spread the horse compost, to encourage the raspberries to do their "thing".. The beach has enticed a few more brave souls..
  9. Morning all, after a below zero overnight low of -0.1°C at: 06:19, its warmed nicely to 9.3°C in nice bright sunshine with a breeze now picking up from the SW. Just one brave beachgoer this morning on the beach webcam..
  10. Well we hit double digits, just!, with 10.6°C at: 13:48, the sun is still hanging around so still some pleasant garden time to use...
  11. After what started out as an overcast day, it's turned out really pleasant, sat out in the garden with an afternoon tea of scones, jam and cream and the juices of the apple(!), very nice...Even at 10.6°C at: 13:48, it's really warming in the sun...nice..
  12. Morning All, after an overnight low of 0.2°C at: 01:28, things have risen nicely to 9.8°C at: 11:45. The breeze now in from the SW has picked up noticeably this morning, but away from that breeze, it's pleasant in the sunshine..The beach has a few brave souls this morning
  13. Morning All, a cloudy night kept the temperatures up, an overnight low of 0.2°C at: 01:28, has risen to 1.8°C, albeit with St cover..
  14. Currently 5.1°C after a high of 7.1°C at: 15:45..noticeable how the pressure is remaining almost constant at 1024.7 mb..with the lightest of breezes swinging from the the SW to the NW..
  15. Knocker you have been lucky cloud has been the order of the day here, and further east as I was in Southampton, this morning, no different, cloud cover..
  16. Struggled up to 6.7°C at: 14:23, a trip to Southampton this morning, the car thermometer didn't budge off 6.5°C having been overcast all day, with some thicker patches prompting some light rain earlier..
  17. Morning All, a cold start this morning, at the overnight low currently of -5.1°C with no breeze.....
  18. If you ever want to live in a place that sits in the middle of the showers, here's the place, look at this...no rain for us, but either side well..
  19. After peaking @8.4°C at: 12:35, now back down to 6.5°C..with spells of sunshine..
  20. Good luck with your move, something different weatherwise, and certainly more luck for something white during the winter rather than the promise so often failed down here..
  21. Cruising through the New Forest this morning, temperature outside as shown by the car 8.5C, conditions...snowing!
