  1. If anybody tells me there is no such thing as a snow dome I have proof, it is still in place after this winter...from this morning's radar scan.. Have I missed anything interesting weather wise over the last week, having been hospitalised , not much chance of seeing anything beyond for walls...
  2. Another Crackin day, garden time after an overnight low of 2C, today has peaked at 12.2C, but it has been warming out in the sun getting some of the garden chores started..still clear skies here, so could drop cool overnight again..gotta love these days, night chill warm days, perfek..
  3. Hmm, the local rag is going for it.. DORSET could in for another cold spell in the next few days - which may include wintry showers.Twitter account Dorset Snow has told us that forecasts are showing a chilly patch will be heading from the north of the country, hitting Dorset next week. This could bring with it "isolated wintry showers" they added, with temperatures at night hitting lows of -5c. They said: "I suspected we would have one final cold spell towards the end of February/beginning of March, and it looks like we will get one by the end of next week. "High pressure will once again build to the north of the UK and this will introduce colder air from the north/north east.
  4. Crackin day, reachin 14.1°C at: 12:52, still clear so warmth to continue for a few hours yet..
  5. Morning All, another great weather start to the day, clear skies permitted the temperatures to fall to an overnight low of 0.8°C at: 06:30, still have a frost on most surfaces..the sun has a clear route this morning as no clouds around, currently 1.8°C..
  6. Still crackin' out there, clear skies, little air movement, and a maximum of 13.2°C at: 14:34
  7. Morning all Spring is certainly on the way, overnight frost, clear skies, calm sea, Anthem of the Seas has come back after a day out in Le Havre, really nice start to the day....overnight low of -0.1°C at: 06:23 (yup it was a scrape the screen clear before setting off this morning), currently 4.3°C , pressure 1037.8mb and airflow from the NNE...
  8. Ah, situation normal this morning, overcast and raining, was concerned that a sunny start and dry was become norm..phew. Anyway overnight low 7.4°C at: 06:06, currently 8.3°C and a stunning 1mm of rainfall.. Anthem of the Seas has let the area and is now docked in Le Havre, so it's not the fact the visibility is low this morning, she's gone..
  9. Bit of a strange one today, started out warm but with a fairly strong breeze, the wind dropped out and the temperature fell back, then the wind picked up again and the temperature rose..shown below quite nicely..
  10. Morning All, WARM out there this morning even in the moderate breeze that still persists from a SW direction, after an overnight low of 11.2°C at: 00:13 currently 13.4°C and mostly cloudy. the beachcam shot this morning showing the still choppy sea.. The brisk SW has chased anthem of the Seas around in the channel over the past as it tracks to keep position in the brisk wind even this morning..
  11. OK so what went wrong with the weather, it's morning, it's sunny, and no rain, there are a few clouds around but nowt special... As noted there's a moderate breeze this morning, in from the SW. Overnight low of 3.7°C at: 00:00, currently 9.1°C, and the beachcam showing choppy conditions this morning.. catching the COTENIN as it departs this morning.. Meanwhile Anthem of the Seas still wanders around in the channel, here's the recent track whilst sat in the bay..it may look to be in the same place but clearly it wanders around in the prevailing winds..
  12. Morning All, as noted another wet and overcast start to the day, again with a trickle of rain rather than RAIN, after 0.8 mm since midnight, annoyance rather than rainfall...temperature wise we are at the overnight minimum of 7.5°C at: 08:07..
  13. We've had none, BUT time comes and you gotta move on, mother nature doesn't want to play ball this winter, (thanks Global warming!) so SPRING is a must now..
  14. Really thought the brightness might break in to sunshine, but not to be our best today has been 11.5°C at: 14:13, some chances this week of some warmth. Noticing the MOD thread has almost switched off until the summer storms begin to appear... that is apart from the ever hopefuls, of some deep cold in March..I'm not there with that I have to say right now...
  15. Talking of being on the edge, check my place versus the rain...I reckon if I go down the road it'll be dry... 10mins later and
  16. Morning All, overcast and wet, currently 9.8°C which was also the overnight low..
  17. Oddly enough the temperature is still climbing, now at todays maximum 13.3°C at: 18:58
  18. IF the sun could have really made it through we would certainly have been in the mid teens, considering we peaked at 13.1°C at: 16:08..
