  1. Currently big diffs in temperature, so the somewhat cooler air is still not here..
  2. Seemingly downgrade after downgrade, and tonnes of HYPE, gets us to a new week, which having seen the BBC(sorry but I pay a licence so I may as well see what it kicks out) outlook, the warmth returns by next weekend... Has to be said it's quite pleasant out there in the sun, trying to sort the garden out, only when the sun goes in does it feel cool Currently 4.6°C ..
  3. The MetO won't be using Amber as they've already used up the seasons allowance over the past week...
  4. Morning All, an overcast start to the day as the beachcam shot shows nicely, with 'Anthem of the Seas' facing in to the offshore NE wind this morning. Currently 2.8°C, so only marginally above the overnight low...RH82% and the current DP 0°C....
  5. We did have one on here, which was seasonal, but as the interest waxes & wanes, particularly in the quiet months, it was merged back in to the current thread..
  6. Yup got three different systems. My main one is a Davis Vantage PRO2+ and as my signature suggests is located @ PooleWeather.UK POOLEWEATHER.UK I live on heathland so the temperature can be different to soil laden areas, and we do get the heat and cold differences to local spots.
  7. Interesting temperature graph, currently the temperature (under clear skies skies) is falling at 2.7°C / hour, with the cooler air now well in place from the NE direction..currently 3.7°C after a high of 9.7°C
  8. A grand morning out there, with the sea mist slowly burning back, but still visible in the beachcam shot tis morning..
  9. Morning All, a chilly sub zero start to the day after an overnight low of -1.7°C at: 06:31..currently -1.5°C, with a good ground frost. Sun is coming up over the yard arm, for a pleasant start to the weekend weather..
  10. I'll be polite as I have no idea who Dorset snow is, but you gotta love what is being fed to the local rag, and I quote “Areas that see the heaviest bursts of snow could see a dusting......." that much aye, well I'll be damned..yawn, time to go back to sleep, having spent a good couple of hours in the garden this arvy..night all..
  11. Morning All, the sun has just made it over the yard arm, a partly cloudy, some drizzle, BUT blue sky (in places) start to the day, currently 5.2°C after an overnight low of 3.1°C at: 05:18, no breeze this morning RH97% and pressure very slowly rising and currently is at 1008.1mb...the beach cam looking good this morning
  12. Somebody is playing with my mind... opened the front door to go to the car, absolutely hosing down..so decided to go to the back door of the house, open the door it wasn't raining....doh! Aha figures don't lie... 36mm/min @ 20:05, so it was hosing down..as the radar shows...
  13. Unused bag of road salt. Bought locally 8 years ago, never used, bargain @ £24...(by the end of next week, I'll be the sole owner in town with a bag of road salt...don't miss this bargain buy today)...
  14. I have this image of snow starved southerners in Salisbury ALL getting in their cars to reach the snowline, and yet remain within Government ruling of staying close to home to exercise...
  15. After the earlier rain, the sun is trying it's hardest to break through the cloud covering, currently 9.6°C after 2,8mm of rain earlier..
  16. Morning All, a damp overcast start with drizzle/light rain after an overnight low of 3.3°C at: 03:33.. currently 7.9°C as the light breeze has turned more in to the S /SSE bringing an onshore breeze which given the current sea temperature is 8.3°C the local temperature almost replicates that of the surrounding water...
  17. Just love these, shows the snow dome positioned nicely on Sunday... And later in the day And again later in the day But I wont go there, time will tell...
  18. You gotta love it when you see the MOD thread go in to meltdown, pages and pages in minutes, and amongst all the Northern Boom talk, one comment of note " but there seems to be a not insignificant chance of some quite heavy rainfall across the South...."
  19. Whoooosh, blink and you miss it. I suppose the law of averages comes in to play, but then again folks in the northern part of the region have been fortunate for some white stuff(but unfortunate in flooding). Right now, I'm still on the side of "close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades...."
  20. Does look to be long before the backup arrives, then maybe I can get my two frenchies to go out, talk about fair weather dogs, stand at the door see its raining, look at me as much to say "HaHa, you cant be serious, it's raining and you want us to go out?"
  21. Morning All, well that makes a change, waking up to a morning with pouring rain..so far temperature at the overnight low 7.9°C , and rainfall 7.6mm, pressure 992.8mb and a light breeze in from the SW...the beachcam shows it all very well this mornng..
