    Didn't like this winter at all. To me, winter means sharp frosts and snow, just as summer means hot dry days, and this winter just didn't deliver. Mild, wet Atlantic mush for most of the time here. That's not what I call winter. So, all in all, a disappointment.

    Had about 1cm overnight but apart from garage roof and patches still on the fields behind my house it's all gone now. The sun is shining and there's not a cloud in the sky.

    Had one slight snow shower, graupels really, but the sun is out again and looking really springlike out there. Apart from the wind, that is.

    Winter? I must have blinked and missed it A couple of bad frosts, two days of lying snow and the rest was just wet, wet and more wet, grey mild days.

    Just heard that a weather warning has been issued for North Lincolnshire. Also police advise that Chesterfield has atrocious conditions and tell people not to travel.

    Just listening to East Midlands travel news on the radio. A lot of roads in the Peak District already blocked and the guy said ... wait for this ... it's going to get worse!

    I'll second that. It's great to chat to like minded people. Makes the snow even more exciting!

    Coming down even heavier now. Roads that were full of puddles and slush are now covered again. Got a friend who lives in your area and he's just rung to say that massive flakes are falling around there.

    It rained/sleeted all afternoon, lincolnshnow. Started turning to snow around 4.30pm and then came down really heavily. It's covered all the ground where yesterday's snow had melted. I was quite surprised as it was really wet out there but even the roads are covered now.

    Really? It's snowing heavily here. I'm on the Nottingham/Derbyshire border just outside Castle Donington.

    Heavy snow falling here. Settling on roads and pavements. Huge flakes too.

    OMG, never seen flakes as big as this in years! They're huge! Settling on ground and other surfaces even though everywhere is soaked. Amazing!

    Sleety rain here. Been like this most of the afternoon. The odd flake of snow falling as well but most of the snow we had yesterday has turned to a greyish brown slush now. Horrid!

    Gone really dark here. Just looked out and rain/sleet and snow are all falling heavily.

    BBC News 24 have just forecast heavy snow for all of Wales and have issued a severe weather warning. So you should get some heavy snow this afternoon, willitbsunny.
